1st time I'm posting, so be kind ;-)

I've been keeping an eye on Canon G16 for a little while now and it's the lowest it has ever been on Amazon (uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Can…NFY?context=browse), and that's before the cashback!
So, you can get it for £279.99 - £40 (Canon cashback) = 239.99, which seems like a very good price for this great little camera!
The Canon cashback is valid if you purchase it from 29 October, 2014 up to and including 21 January, 2015

I know you can find it for a similar price in other more "exotic" websites, but probably not included in the Canon cashback.

Same price at Currys if you want to pick one up locally.

great find I've been looking at getting one recently. Glad I held off.

Good deal indeed, but if anyone's thinking of spending such money on a camera, consider buying a DSLR since the price difference isn't that big (specially with the Canon cash back)

Agreeing with the above poster that if you want the best in image quality then you can certainly expect to get an entry level DSLR kit for around this sort of price (Nikon D3200 kit for £279 after cashback, Canon 1200D kit for £269 after cashback, etc) that will deliver much better image quality, but if you're after something that's sorta pocketable then it's a pretty good choice for the price!

I'm tempted !

Expired at both Currys and Amazon , I should have moved quicker lol

Perhaps take a look at the Fuji X10, which occupies a very similar niche to the G16 for around the same price that this deal was on for on Amazon- tunnel style viewfinder, manual controls, larger and higher quality sensor than most point-and-shoots (even bigger than the G16's), similar focal range lens (with better aperture throughout the range in 35mm equivalent), rugged build quality and still a compact camera, albeit on the larger side. Just another option to consider if you're looking for a good quality compact!

If it was for myself I might be tempted , but as my wife wants one with wifi and a longer zoom it's not an option .
