Hot!

This is an excellent camera. I got it from Jessops for £140 a while back (including cashback, Quidco, and a discount code!).

Sounds excellent, I've read the reviews all positive and as usual with Canon stating how good the image quality is, which is really the main thing.

Now priced at £128.79 after cashback which is £2 more than on 05/01/2010.
Amazon seem to be changing the price very frequently.

So you get a further £30 back from Canon making the total cost £103?

cashback is already included in £133

Not particularely wide angle lens at 36mm. You can get 25mm these days for little more money.

Not such a great deal is it? Or is it? How much has it been previous and how much else where?

Expired.

just commenting on the camera alone, I owned the SX110is and it was an excellent digital camera.

Good but bulky.

I think some of the comments on this thread might be missing the point - this is a 10x optical zoom camera, so really not comparable to the standard 3x zoom compacts in terms of bulkiness, or price! Looks a great deal.

I agree :-) looking at the size of it against something like the Fuji 1500, this one is way more compact, and as with all Canon the image quality is superb.

It takes Panasonic to show how you get a quality 12x optical zoom into a small camera. TZ6 is more expensive by about 50 quid but what a camera!

Not much wrong with this one though - as long as you don't mind second best!

Haha, fan boy!! :whistling: :w00t:

I had an SX110IS & the image quality was excellent - better than the Panasonic TZ series imo (I had a TZ3 & TZ7)

The downside is it takes 2xAA batteries which last about 5 minutes. Even decent Nicad's don't last very long before needing to be recharged. Such a shame...

Oh and the zoom range is 36-360mm so it doesn't do wide angle.

Strangest looking computer I have ever seen, dont htink this design will catch on :-P

Chdk is not available for this...
Better to go for the SX110 rather than this... I have it and it is gr8 !!
