Does it come in the box with instructions cause i cant find if it does. I want to get it my son for his birthday

I missed out on a black one but managed to bag a silver one. Can't say no for that money. I do use my Note 2 for most of my photo taking these days but some times a decent zoom lens is a must especially when filming my kids on school sports days and nativity plays etc.

Also has optical image stabilisation. A decent buy.

It would probably benefit from being on a tripod or similar.

Just grabbed a red one, still all colours left, keeps saying 1 left then going to 2 after a purchase!

Are refurbished items usually reliable ?
The SX160 ,the newer model of the 150 ,is £69.99 new on Amazon.

Factory refurb are usually as good as new within the term of the description as manufacturers have a reputation to maintain. Seller refurb on the other hand can mean a multitude of things.

Thanks OP. Bought a red one.

Canon do have some really good deals going on there sometimes - I got an MG3250 refurb printer for £23 and it appears to have new cartridges

Don't consider the stock levels on ebay to be accurate though - I noticed that they only list two or three of an item at a time which I think is to stop companies buying their whole stock in one go so just keep checking their newly listed items.

Just to let evryone know, Ebay Canon Outlet is NOT part of Canon UK, so these cameras may not have been refurbished by Canon at all. Having said that, the company was good with refunds when I received my dead one.

This one is still over £80 on Amazon.

Pet2000 you better tell Canon cos they seem to think Canon Outlet on eBay are apart of Canon.

But cos you put not in CAPITALS Im guessing your right, so thanks.

If you heave received item from them You should KNOW that on the box was stated that it came to YOU from CANON!!

Bought from them two cameras both came like new, and sender was canon uk, not some random guy shiping from his 2 bedroom flat.

Canon Outlet, the official and exclusive Canon-branded web reseller, is operated by Digital River.
An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition. This item may or may not be in its original packaging.

Been after a cheap camera for a while even though my phone takes good pictures......AA batteries is a downside but not a deal breaker for me.

Cracking deal and a good company to buy from.
Bought an MFP and a camera from them in the past year and both were like new.

Got a red one a few days ago box a little tired but content inside like new in plastic wrap

Second one purchased, no blacks left.

The only rechargeables i use are sanyo eneloop...gen 3 are even better now.
Mine came today and is just like new apart from the box which is to be expected tbh.
Just need a case now...anyone have any suggestions?.....nothing too expensive just good enough for protection and space for spare eneloops (_;)

There are more black ones, plus lots of other colours. Just check directly on the cannon ebay shop . there's tons of other cool stuff too.

I bought one of these from cash converters for £55 in mint condition. Took it on holiday to Tenerife instead of taking my Canon 7D so i could just leave it in auto and the quality from the photos are amazing.

Only thing that lets it down in my eyes was 2 things, 1) the autofocus was abit slow when zooming, and 2) the screen is low res so dont judge photos by the screen, look on a tablet or laptop instead before deleting any photos!

Otherwise great value for money!

Tried it out, really great quality and the flash is much better than expected - doesnt white-out the subject at night like my old one It seems to produce really nice colours too, even indoors.
for rechargeables I went with the uniross battery/charger pack for £3.99: ebay.co.uk/itm…465?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
