An AA powered camera at this price is no bargain - the rrp is a complete joke.

By reputation it'll probably take a good snap but it's still fat, ugly and plastic.

At this money you have a choice of excellent Panasonics.

Other than my DSLRs, I always choose compacts that take rechargeable AA Batts for pure conveniance & cost.
Ive even managed to shoot over 3500 shots (using CHDK) on one set of rechargeables.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think you can get a compact Panasonic with FULL Manual control for this kind of money - not even with the £200 Panny TZ7 !!

Couldn't agree more, I don't think Besford realises how good this camera is and the results that it is capable of. I do wonder why it gets such good reviews wherever I look if it's such poor vfm. Maybe all the people writing reviews don't know what they're talking about.

As you said, if Besford can find a superzoom camera with FULL manual control and excellent image quality (which is what matters at the end of the day) then fair enough.

Anyway, this seems to be out of stock at The Hut, but available at other places for about the same money.
