Good lens, but I've voted cold. The reason because you have to pay £725, then claim back £165.
Same price at Amazon, no deal here

Amazon do not offer 0% 24 months finance, hence I marked this as a deal. Sorry if it is not for you.

I know the lens, I know they are good. I have a couple of the Canon L series lenses.

As I said, the reason I voted cold, is because your initial payment is £725. Plus this is the same price at Amazon and Jessops.

I know we haven't got a time machine but they do go up and down prices at amazon
I paid £635 from amazon on 17 th may this year then got the cash back
Great lens
One of Canon's L for learner range. A good entry level lens.

It works really well when the subject you want to snap is between 24mm and 70mm away. So really close up. They tend to make these from the old parts of Nikon and Fuji, so the put a red ring round it to identify that the parts are not to be re-used a third time.

I've done a few shoots with models. I think I'd get a smack or two, if I got that close.
For those that still think in shillings, we're talking about 1 to 2 1/2 inches in distance from your subject.

The quality may not be as good as Sheffield Steel, as these are unfortunately made in Japan, but it should at least be a step up from the camera on your phone.

Worth noting, these lenses also have a lot of pixels in them, which over a period of time can come loose and turn into dust flakes. However, the grain it turns into is only noticeable when taking photos in the dark.
