If you think they are then please do some reading up. What's wrong with people asking about & sharing photography experience with different kit? Oh, and if you go back and re-read my original question, I asked what the lens is best used for. You answered with "taking pictures" when in actual fact, the camera takes the pictures. Not the lens. The show was great and well worth the vist to the NEC. Still on until Tuesday. Double Cashback on qualifying Canon purchases at the show. There are 3 retailers there offering the promotion, Calumet, London Camera Exchange and Camera World so you can shop around for the best price.

What about Sony? Do you think Sony will do anything? I need something like an a6500 but don't wanna spend 1k

Canon don't sell at the show. It has the same terms as this. last year it was double cashback. year before it wasn't. Unfortunately I'm not Canon so have no more idea than you do what this years' plans are, but it's 30 years of EOS. So I'm at least hopeful.

Anyone recommend a good outlet for genuine ink for these printers? (Or more specifically an MG3100)

I've learnt something, ignore the 'low ink, change cartridge' warning sign. My black one ran on for another six weeks and I usually print some stuff daily.

Good deal, decent printer, especially for those looking to use it for school/uni work in just over a month. Would really benefit people looking to upgrade. Bonus with the club card points boost. Heat added.

So how much VAT did you avoid paying on the 1DX?

I just purchased 1dX (not in cashback) and 630EX-RT from Hdewcameras.co.uk, first time I've used them but the have a brick and mortar shop oin SW London, which i was able to collect from and pay over the counter, admitedly it's a unit on an industrial estate and not a shop floor. That for me meant an awefull lot!
Great prices, and when i enquired about cashback, they were honest in telling me the products are imported and would not be honored in the cashback deal due to non EU serial numbers. The flash cost me 339 which was loads cheaper than the best UK deal I could find including cashback.
Needless to say I'm ordering another next week.

Drop them an email at [email protected]

I read that as only one of each item so in your case 1x6D and 1X17x40 I think should be o.k.

But I'm no expert on hiding things in terms and conditions!

Enjoy the 6D it's a great camera (bought mine at the start of the Cashback), just got a 24-70 f/2.8 to go with it as well. So a double claim from me!

With regards to finance have you looked at Clifton Cameras? they do 0% over 12 months (though you'll need a valid passport or photo drivers licence to get through the finance checks - I was fortunate to have 2 days left on my passport!)
Edited by: "Kebabselector" 10th May 2013

Anybody know if they honour cashback for two products on one receipt?
Im planning to buy 6D and 17-40 mm using finance scheme so it must be on 1 receipt. I wonder If i will receive cashback for one or two products?
The T&C only mention this:

"2.6. Only one claim per product purchased may be made. "

I only really need the 220 but you never know if somewhere is over stocked and selling them off there could be some bargain 230s about.anyone got any first hand experience of either of these cameras, as far as i can tell from reading reviews they seem to be about the best out there for picture quality.

If you want the absolute best picture quality in a compact, go for an S95 or an S100. A lot of pros with expensive SLRs own one of those to keep in their pocket when the big camera's not with them.

Having said that, I bought an SX210 from Canon's eBay clearance shop as a present for someone (for a measly £70 - cheer HUKD!) She's turned out to be a bit of a natural photographer, and taken some amazing pictures with it, so if the 220 and 230 are half as good then you're onto a winner.

Is camerapricebuster the most reliable site for finding the cheapest camera prices?

I'm after a Canon EOS 600D, and currently trying to work out what is the best deal, taking into account cashback etc.

I'm sure the cashback offer replaces the "EOS Experience" offer (i.e. free training course voucher and 4 instructional DVDs). I'd be very happy to be proved wrong, though If it was both I'd snap this offer up in a heartbeat.

It seems you'd still get the freebie backpack if buying the camera from Amazon.

I'm torn between going for this cashback offer (£50 on the 600d) and waiting for (the likely) return of the EOS Experience offer. I've heard very good things about the Canon training courses so if the DVDs are good then that package would be worth more than the cashback to me.

Would anyone care to comment on the content and quality of the instructional DVDs, please?
