Half price, works out more expensive than paving slabs but takes up less room and rounded edges are a little safer than paving slabs.

Polyresin parasol base. Suitable to use with offset parasol. Always read instructions before use. For outdoor fair weather use only.

Please can someone else post to let me know if the link is working or not as it works for me? Thank you. Link above that kitjames999 has 'kindly' added is not marked at 50% marked price.

Have some heat for your efforts :-)

Thank you the shabster, I just get so frustrated with people posting ridiculous things which are't true!! Its not half price, the link doesn't work, it reminds me of kids whining in the playground! (_;)
FYI - Discount is applied at the payment stage of checkout.
Sorry to ask a stupid question, but how many of these would I need? 4? Thanks

You need a minimum of 2 but 4 are recommended, I have ordered 4 and wouldn't trust 2 to hold a cantilever in a wind. You could of course use 2 and 2 paving slabs though. Hope this helps and no, it wasn't a stupid question
Link works just fine. Thanks OP, could be just what I need.
Thanks eeyoreworld. Have just ordered. Voted hot.

Can those of you that have one of these cantilever parasols tell me to what to look out for when buying one? Prices seem to vary massively. What are the disadvantages to the really cheap ones? I just ordered the half price one on the Wilco site along with 4 of these base weights but may well change my order (for the parasol that is) if people can convince me spending more is worth while.

I tend to have my umbrella facing the same way all the time and use 3 slabs so I would say 3 is enough but then again if you have 3 then 4 might look better. We have heavy plant pots on top of the slabs as well and even with an outsize hardwood parasol have never had a problem.

I have this parasol I got mine from BM stores 2 years ago cost £40, exactly the same build /quality to the wilko 1, iv'e never had any major problems with mine other than the spokes sometimes get crossed when setting it up but most of the time works fine and I actually use mine as a rain umbrella for when working in the garden, even when quite windy have had no problems that said I do secure my parasol with bungee cords!

I bought this exact one from wilkos last year at £24.99 in the sale....It looks brilliant in the garden, shades a really big area and is easy to reposition. We get lots of compliments when people come round for bbq's!
