Got one of these from Richer Sounds just over a year ago for £349. Great little sound base with lovely surround effect. A bit of a bargain at this price so it gets heat from me.
I can't see how it can work as a surround sound amplifier, there are no external speakers. Internally there are apparently two tweeters, two midrange and two so-called 'subwoofers' and no external outputs. Probably better than the internal speakers.
The reviews on Amazon where it is the same price (it apparently has a 2 year warranty) are quite damning

It's a soundbase not a surround sound amplifier, they are two very different things.

I have one of these and while it does not provide you with an immersive surround sound experience it does do a reasonable job of replicating it. I went for this as it fits neatly under the TV, no wires running round the room to numerous speakers and no sub sitting behind the sofa.

I know

Yes but 'immersive surround sound experience' implies some sort of surround sound but actually it's meaningless
As is 'extraordinary audio power'
It hasn't even got an 'in-built subwoofer' (from the description)
'State-of-the-art soundbase' is also pretty meaningless.
All advertising jargon

You seem to "know" an awful lot yet don't understand advertising jargon. Show me a single electronic product that doesn't claim meaningless ambiguity in its publicity. All manufacturers use meaningless jargon, statistics and claims. This doesn't claim to be a surround sound amplifier. It does claim to replicate in some way the surround experience by using its numerous tweeters in clever ways. But then again, your response is destined to be "I Know" as you seem to already know everything anyway. Perhaps don't comment if you already know the answers?
