I can see this dropping to £99.99 soon, no one will buy it for the initial rrp of £199.99. It is just way too high a price at the moment
chojin14/11/2019 09:37

Looks nice, but pricey

It does look nice but it’s a very niche item. They won’t get many nostalgia impulse buys on this due to its size, it’s just big and bulky. Where the mini consoles are an instant buy for many, due to their size and price point.
Ghouls and Ghosts.... hot for that alone

Great Price.
Just for comparison. Amazon 199, Game Collection 179.95, Shopto 186.85

Probably after Christmas, very much doubt before

Price will either increase due to short supply or crash due to the price

i fancy one but it is expensive for what it is
in years to come the price will hold or increase
Wait on this, it'll be under 50 quid before you know it.. paltry selection of games for the price.

I definitely don’t think it will increase, these items are just mass produced nowadays and never hold value. They eventually go on clearance sale to get them out of warehouses, that is when to buy them.

The Arcade1up machines will drop to these prices in sales (already been around the £200 mark). They are a much better buy (providing you have a table or booster to put it on), or build your own arcade machine. These Capcom things are just a bit much in all honesty, you have to pull your coffee table over just to have a pop on it. Just a very awkward item (in my opinion) for 2 players to enjoy comfortably.

Yeah definitely one for a niche of die-hard fans. Depends if you think you really want the proper SANWA sticks and all the extra stuff they've added on, or you could just stick some games on an emulator/raspberry pi for like a tenner! haha. I played this in a Currys store in london and it feels really nice... just didn't have the bottomless wallet to take one home!

Weird item this. Its cumbersome and expensive and only 16 games some of which are barely known in the U.K.

But its high quality and has various connections that open the way for more games in the future (maybe officially or unofficially).

Imagine this with a whole library of arcade games. That could be pretty cool.

But too expensive at the moment for me to bite. Also where would I put it??
Ghouls and Ghosts.... hot for that alone
I'm waiting until it drops too, but does look really nice. TBH, i'd be happy enough if i could get a clone cheap and mod with better bits
Picked up an arcade1up street fighter cab so don’t need this as well, but if we are talking under a ton..
Basically an arcade stick with a Final Burn emulator in it so not even arcade perfect.
Can this be used as a controller for the PC?
So you sit next to each other 3ft from your TV?

It needs to split into two parts and be wireless, oh and a few decent games would be nice. Meh!
This is better to be fair has Commando, Ghosts N Goblins and 1942 Only the best Capcom games, had mine years so get hunting

Is actually be tempted at £100ish or so especially if anyone ends up hacking this and adding more games to it
better off getting a pandoras box for around £100 on ebay comes with 1000+ games

link to one if anyone interested

Expensive for what is it.... I'd pay 100
I wish a had the cash to smash. I just binged some reviews and it looks like something I would love to own, even if it only gets busted out when my brother visits at Christmas.

The HDMI lead is very long... check out digital foundry’s segment on it.. looks quite cool bar a few scaling issues
TK MAXX Christmas 2020 £49.99 or less..
This is the first time you can legally play Alien vs Predator and Progear without owning the CPS2 boards. (and Progear is one of my favourite arcade games of all time)

From the reviews I've seen, it seems like this is actually a good product, but the scaling options are a little iffy. I actually genuinely really want to buy this, even though I like my real arcade hardware and dislike emulation, I just think it looks awesome.
Totally get why folk find this expensive at this price or RRP but from what I've seen/read the component parts are meant to feel fantastic. Get you can build your own something or other and MAME the hell out of it - I've even got an x-arcade joystick - but the thought of having these titles in a nice box is really enticing. Considering how many hours my mates and I have "wasted" playing all Super Sidekicks on the Switch, I think this would get a hell of a lot of use.

If it does hit £100, I'll be all over it!
Avp.....
Not only that.... If you spunk x amount on it and it doesn't sell well, they may not support it with firmware updates and or new games titles.....???!!!
Really seems better to let it play out, see how it evolves, if it'll be hacked or not, and let price drop.
Strider. Final fight. Street fighter.... All good but price is too much... You can mod an old Xbox with 10000 games for much less than this

You seem to be basing that on nothing
16games?

10 BUCKS A ROM??????

I’m basing that on selling patterns of items of similar pricing, that don’t have a huge market or that are selling poorly. It is inevitable for tech items like this to go on a clearance sale, that is just how things work. I guess only time will tell, but it only takes looking at the likes of the PlayStation Mini as a perfect example of this.

I also didn’t say it definitely will, I am making a prediction based on normal trends in prices.

Heard the quality of this product is quite good. I'd imagine it'll be easy to add more games down the line legitimately or otherwise.

An old Xbox can't handle CPS2 emulation very well without a difficult ram expansion mod.
You can't really compare this to a Pandoras box or other cheap ways to play these games illegally, these are the highest quality components you can buy, it's a bit like comparing a ferrari to a ford
IMHO, this is a good device, I've owned it for a week now and I can say this has been played on at least once a day in my household.

It has a long hdmi cable, comes with a USB power supply (which is unique as nowadays this is not supplied with most plug and play device) and of course a micro USB.

It has two Sanwa joysticks and buttons which are remarkable to play with compared to cheap knock-off devices.

Yes I know it's 200 hundred pounds but putting licensing and parts into play how are they supposed to make a profit too?

if this was around 150 mark I would assume most people would purchase the item, again this is just my opinion.

Don't think this will go under 100 quid as the cheapest pre-buit Sanwa device for one joystick are around 50 quid.

Now let's talk about the SNK Neogeo Arcade Stick Pro as what I've seen & heared that's hackable .
