Very easy to set up a Japanese account, I am sure the demo will come to the EU, but for those who don’t want to wait, the demo is live now...

eurogamer have a conprehensive article on setting setting up a Japanese account if you need it

Not really a deal but good to know, thanks.
Last time I setup a Jap account for a demo I ended up with loads of Jap news items and videos in my feed, only a small thing but enough to make me wait this time.

Keep your Japanese account but unsubscribe from the Japanese Nintendo feed. Simple.

is this an option now as it didn't used to be when I had my first console.
Far as I'm aware you've always been able to unfollow things on your news feed. I've had my switch a year. Usually you can do it by clicking on the news you've no interest in and press the + button and click unfollow. Or go into system settings and news feed channels...select the ones you wish to unfollow
Yay!
