No. You have to spray in the foot well (along with other steps like keeping the engine running)

It's more like a 'bug bomb.' You set it off (it's like a deodorant can) and it continues spraying. You leave it in the car with the air circulation on full for 5 minutes. It just basically disinfects the system. When I had a mouldy smell in an old car, this did do the trick. I think I paid £4. Get a couple, because it needs doing more than once.

And dont do the same mistake I did and didn't switch my AC to recirculate the air! One can wasted!

Oh, i thought it was a air re gas type of thing..thanks
Nasty smells is usually mould in the hvac system so this may only mask it, a regas would boil off any moisture killing the smells but you may require additional parts to fix any leaks.

Very true, this only masks it for a few months. But, if you don't have time/money for a regas, for £1 this does the trick.
This is good stuff I use it two or three times a year gets rid of the smell of cheeseburger and chips from my kebab shop visits
