This should not be used by beginners to car polishing. Too easy to burn the paintwork.

Far safer to go with a DA polisher.

What is the difference between this one and a DA? Maybe a stupid question …What is the difference between this one and a DA? Maybe a stupid question but have never used a polishers for my car before and don’t want to get it wrong.

Nothings ever a stupid question, especially with car cleaning/detailing.
DA moves (wobbles) when its spinning and a rotary just spins in one spot.
Burning paint is a lot harder than it sounds though, nobody's ever going to stay in one spot for long enough unless they're nuts, the only thing they could mess up is to little product then burn with the pad.

Reading your description, if you use these professionally you should really try something like a DAS-6 Pro or Rupes

Totally agree, DA all the way, those challenge ones are noisy but they work

Not really.
You don't see many angle grinders with variable speed.

Do some research before you start. Sites like Detailingworld, Slimsdetailing or Autofinesse would be a good start. Plenty of "how to" guides on YouTube.

It's all in the preparation, otherwise you run the risk of making things worse.

Oh, and be prepared to empty your wallet. It's addictive. 😞

This would be safer for the same …This would be safer for the same price:https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/challenge-dual-action-car-polisher-on-sale-again-at-argos-for-3999-3149400

And now £34.99 on clearance... 🏻
Plastic bumper edges are the easiest to burn. If the speed is turned down for plastic areas then these are better than da style. If you are unsure remove the polisher and feel how much heat is in the panel with your hand. Fresh paint is soft and easier to burn, if your car has just been painted then be more careful.
