Yeah, just find out if your car takes H1, H4 or H7 headlight bulbs.

I found that indicator bulbs to have an intermittent fault. The would come on then go off, come on then go off, come on then go off.

Tell him to wear latex gloves when he fits them, if they still blow then I would get it looked at.

The gloves are only so you dont get smudges on the glass, are they not?

£3.99 at Lidl see later post

He"s been told it"s a common fault with ford focuses, that the bulbs don"t last long,Halfords and garage told him this.Least be better when light nights come and mornings too.

When bulbs go lots it's usually because the bulbs are cheap. I bought cheap ones from the local motor factors for my Astra and they kept blowing and I thought there was a fault with the car but bought some better quality ones and they lasted a lot longer

That's correct, but with the design of some modern cars it's almost impossible to get the bulb in without touching it. Unless you want to remove the whole headlight unit or bumper.

I was talking to an AA guy about this the other day and he said some Renaults have a two hour labour charge to charge a headlight bulb. Disgusting.

In that case, get some Osram Nightbreaker Plus, think I paid about £9 a set last time, used them in my last two cars and have friends who use them and they are fantastic.

Think it was Amazon or Ebay, the prices seem to drop every month or so.

£10.95 on Amazon at moment

Make sure you get the 'Plus' version though, they last a lot longer.

Not sure why this isnt getting the same heat as the Lidl bulbs. This one comes with other handy bulbs like brake lights and number plate lights, indicators etc.
