Be soft, first deal thing

After all the bad weather at christmas and with all the grit and salt lying on the road attacking the tyres alot of people will need new tyres for the cars. This is the cheapest place ive found and they do all the work to suit you. You buy the tyres, tell them what garage you want it done, somewhere close to work and they deliver and fit them around your schedule, good for busy people

A deal needs details. 40% off over priced items are usually still over priced. So maybe a comparison would help people to vote hot.

Gone through the selection process, could have saved £10 a tyre on the ones I had fitted yesterday. Bit of a drive to the nearest fitter, but £40 is £40!

Sorry, comes up with the same price as I've been quoted elsewhere for my tyres. Worth a try though, so don't be put off from posting!

I dont have exact comparrison links but, replacing each corner on astra vxr worked out around 150 pound cheaper than anywhere else, thats with low profile tyres and 18" alloys

But will take the constructive criticism into consideration before posting again.

well

i used black circles to search for 235/45/19 in december and there prices are more expensive now than they were then.

im assuming vat increase

LOL

40% my a$$

I've never found blackcircles competitive. I can get better prices (fitted) quite easily.

Try tyre-shopper - fitted through national.

I ordered some Falken 452s from Blackcircle before christmas as they came to £124 fitted for the two - cheapest I could find at the time.

They are now £137.40 fitted so definitely a price increase.

Oh and OP the 40% thing is there standard advert that they have always had.

the price increase is due to the VAT increase i think?

Tyres for the VXR as i remember were
Pirelli PZero
blackcircles.com/ord…rch

OP what tyres did you price up and how much at blackcircles?

Black Circles are just over 200 per corner, with the garages and mechanics around us we were struggling to get any atall never mind a good price, earlier i said each corner but it was just the front two that were done sorry for this mistake

was alot more expensive everywhere else we found if they were available, there are better tyres out there but these were the ones that had been used before

I've compared November 2010 prices to January 2011 - they've gone up from VAT.

In a specific comparison of 265/35R18, Event Tyres are slightly cheaper.

There's no offer or deal here.

Compared with other retailers nothing special, in fact my tyres are expensive on this site.Rubbish deal COLD!!

In your link the tyres are just under £300, hardly just over £200

£203.72 each ?
yeah, just under 300 . . . ? where do you get that from ?

You said that they were just under 300, whereas they are just over 200 so i was asking where you got the 300 from ?

Also, Event tyres dont come up my bit atall.

Having a look at tyreshopper and it seems pretty much tit-for-tat Pirelli Pzero you have a 2 pound saving with Tyre shopper but when looking at Michelin Pilot Sport 3 you make a saving of 14 pound or so with black circles. People need to look at a selection of tyres before they criticise other sites tbh.

The link i posted for the pirelli's was for 203.72, and your saying that link is showing you to just under 300, I think your looking at the wrong tyres. from tyre shopper i got them for 200 bang on i think. But if you look at other tyres then you can see that black circles is cheaper for a few hence the tit-for-tat statement above.

Original Poster

hardly makes a mockery of my own thread when you can clearly see that other tyres are cheaper on there than both named, also the fact that event tyres dont deliver everywhere should discount them from the discussion as this is meant to be for everyone, not just some people.

I have found the error Bridgestone S02 are 203.81
they are directly above the pirellizeros which are 206.21,

Sorry for that it was down to not looking properly.

Really the thread isnt totally useless as someone after a set of michelin pilot sport 3's get a better deal than what is on the other site.

Original Poster

Im sorry that your getting the wrong link but i can asure you that your actually in the wrong here. This website is for people to share deals with others on the network your right, all i have simply done was put somewhere that you can get deals from, so by posting incredibly sarcastic comments to me like that it really just proves that your not in tune with what this is meant to be about and to be honest its really quite immature

Original Poster

I can see that the temp is cold and I understand why people will have voted it cold but, for some they can get a deal, i just thought id share my experience with them to allow others to benefit from it, not to have someone who clearly has nothing better to do with there time, attempt to be smart with their sarcasm, because that in my opinion is alot of ****. just personal opinion mind

Original Poster

a total of 6quid ? or something similar, plus if tyreshoppers is anything like event tyres then they dont come near glasgow. where as i knew for a fact blackcirlces do and you are able to use vouchers to bring cost down aswell, if i had realised before then, it would of worked out cheaper.

Original Poster

Thank you very much when i need them again ill try there then.

WOW - I understand why the deals are getting worse on here!

People try and help out and just get ripped into and slagged off multiple times!!

Let's all stick to 'Pears 5 for a £1 at Tesco' to avoid conflict and no longer post 'Sale threads' or deals we think are decent, eh...........

and continuously slagging off the poster with inane comments helps just as much!!
