crap speakers, crap make and crap company COLD stay away from car audio centre!
Ahhhh 6x9's. Apparently a Vauxhall Nova wouldn't run properly without a set roughly hacked into the rear parcel shelf ....
Freezing this one over.
Ridiculous RRP same price here once you add delivery with a more realistic RRP of £50. http://www.in-car-stuff.com/shop/juice-js694-watt-4way-speakers-p-304.html?ad=froogle
Cancel your order if I were you, this thing running 2 subs is going to be able to fry eggs with the heat it will produce. You will just overload it, The amplifier is about the size of your hand. Jbl is so cheap these days and are really good value. Its like towing a bus with a car, might work for a while but will eventually end up in smoke.
It's the vehicle wiring fire hazard some of these things cause... have you ever looked in the boot of some spotty yoofs car!
Bang on http://www.ipitrade.com/amplifiers-juice-ja490-500w-channel-amplifier-p-10006.html
I have a 4 chanel Alpine and its the best one i have had.
bet the RMS is something like 50wRMS not a bad price but would rather spend a bit more and buy a budget JBL
Of course some of that stuff you mention is good stuff but you shouldn't diss Sony so easily. Many moons ago I bought a Sony head unit after comparing it to many other unit and there was no doubt it was a front runner. I had many enjoyable years with it. Sometimes I'd just go outside sit in the car and listen to it when I was on my own (away from neighbours etc). Infact I thought it was fantastic marriaged up to my Kef speakers.
Some bad reviews of this company http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.caraudiocentre.co.uk
sony car stuff sucks anyway - ive always used head units - alpine - so cheap now amps - alpine or pioneer speakers - rockford fosgate, infinity tweeters, pioneer subs, alpine, hertz subs and components if you dont know why pople use subs then you are stupid, you need them for particular types of music - pointless if you listen classical music or jazz. a sub is needed for those who like dance, reggae or rap music otherwise it sounds flat
agree and also depends how much your amp/headunit amp outputs too
I changed the radio for an aftermarket Kenwood in the father in-laws Picasso a few years ago, very easy, and no problems with car failing to start :)
Wish I could get something like this to play music off my iPhone but apparently if I pull out the stock stereo out of my car, the car won't even start because everything runs through the radio to power everything on the dashboard :( Any engineers able to help? Lol It's a Citroen Picasso btw ;)
Sorry about the late reply, and its probably too late, but mine works a treat with my iPhone. In response to Sharpe. You dont need to update the firmware at all. Mine still on the original one i bought it with about 3 years ago if not more!! The only problem you have is there is a max of about 4-6 parings if you try to go above that it wont pair so you have to remove some parings.
does anyone know what they are like connecting/working with iphones?
They are good when they are working but if you want to pair a new phone, you have to wipe out it's memory by updating the firmware which is annoying!
I think polly needs a cracker to calm her down!
i have a Parrot kit mki9200, it cost me £199 fitted at Halfords, its always going wrong. Yesterday they had to take the centre console and half the dash apart to reset the blue box as it had crashed, they just unpluged a cable and then back in and it worked. It took 45 mins in all. The nice man at Halfords didnt charge me, thankfully. In the 2 years i had it ive been back approximately 12 times at least, previously i had a Nokia ck100 kit in my old car, that was great, would connect to most phones but preferred Nokia to work best.
I agree with the RRP not being true.....Good deal and £47.48 delivered though!
This was never £150 its about the crapest JVC stereo they make and i can assure you that at most it was £60, never the less for £40 its better than most stereos at this price.
probably not but it might make it come quicker
Coming to a Corsa near you!
Will this make my pink Nova go faster!?!?
THE ONLY WAY IS ESSEX
Man, I've seen some truly hideous gear for putting in ned-mobiles ..... but this tops the lot! oO
If the corsa is a double DIN mounted stock radio then is should be fine.
can this fit in my corsa sri 04? if so will i need an adaptor?
I have one thats in pretty poor condition and its just been fitted to a 106 just to sit there as i use this for a little bit of travelling when unable to get the astra, dont like them and i always just leave it in the car andnot had a problem yet ? If your wanting the bluetooth and that then you could move up to the next one XR611 this has bluetooth and that for an extra 17 quid i think, tbh i wouldnt use the bluetooth, ive just got the nokia headset and that Whilst some people like the look of stock head units, i prefer having something deifferent, especially when you look at an astra stock, it just looks really dull and quite boring, also most stock head units have to be taken out when connecting a sub anyway, also not all stock head units can sometimes not be compatible with a sub and amp, thats my main reasons for using after market, mainly cos i love my sounds :)
Nice find! Was looking at getting this a few years ago when i had my focus. Moved to a mondeo now and wouldnt wanna loose voice control/bluetooth so not for me. Heated though!
Absoloutly agree. Most standard fit stereos have decent sound quality. My mum has a new fiesta and the sound is fantastic considering the size and cost of the car. It also has features that only top-of-the-range systems have, such as voice dialling/voice control, music through bluetooth and a USB and aux slot (haggled into the price). I was very impressed. However saying that my car has a standard 2 DIN hole in the dash, half of which is taken up by the turbo gauges so a slot in unit would be fine for me. Depends on the car.
Good price for what it is, heat added. Dubious power output claims though, obviously claiming PMPO and not RMS
they have deals on car stereos as well and much better than halfords... hot...
2nd time the link hasn't worked but is correct??!! Can a moderator look into this??
looks interesting but as above
Find one like it cheaper....or that model cheaper. Then, we will see if it is a good deal or not
A bit on the xpensive side.. i think
good question cos I am tempted to get one but I have a Caddy with big built in screen etc!!
any idea what fitting costs of these are? i know the site links to website for it but its requires aload of details.
Great handsfree, i got one about 3 years back, same as the one pictured. Mine came from asda, reduced from £100 to £50 then to £25. easily installed it myself and never looked back. Good find!
if anyone can find it cheaper elsewhere kindly share?
Seems a little expensive but I have one of these and the sound quality is excellent.
I looking to purchase such a device, for a peugeot 307 07-reg, would the dash-info unit that displays time, temp etc still function? I've also been looking at this http://www.autodvdgps.com/peugeot-307-car-dvd-player-with-gps-navigation-digital-tuchscreen-pip-rds-canbus-p-638.html According to MG-rover forums & others whom have purchased a similar device, it works well and not proprietary, so a great deal of customisation. The major downside being if it packs up, returning it to china is expensive.
Each to their own, £150 for the car stereo, £100 for a PDA with GPS and bluetooth for the mobile phone, headsets you can get for a tenner. Personally I do not see the point of having an in car DVD player on the dashboard, if you have kids give them a portable dvd player. May be a good price, but can anyone really tell me that it is a great deal of electrics to have in the car?
by the way its a penny cheaper here.......http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-avicf900bt-satellite-navigation-system-bluetooth-p-10513.html
did i mention i have this in my pink batmobile? :-D http://img21.imageshack.us/i/dsc03878e.jpg/
did i mention that my pick up truck is brand new as well??
This any good? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-KDC-W312SAY-Radio-MP3-Receiver/dp/B000WE7YXK/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1243272283&sr=1-31
Thanks for the input, what makes them rubbish? Curious. I really need a head unit and I'd prefer to have MP3 support with functionality for cycling through folders(albums) as I made a load of MP3 discs for the CD player I had in my car previously which broke (a Goodmans GCE7207i).
Ah, sorry. I got a bit confused. Updated the spec now
InPhase are rubbish, stick to Pioneer/Alpine or even Kenwood/Fusion.
The image and spec. you've posted are not for the IPS520MP - they're for the much higher spec IPS920SD. The 520 does not have SD support. The 920 is available but it's £89.99. I assume the site's been updated since you found the deal? Cold, sorry.
