Cassette? You're havin' a giraffe mate!
Neither, its a Radio and then media player to connect phones or MP3 players to either by 3.5mm jack, USB or via bluetooth. Bought it as we dont have any CD's anymore as keep music on phones or in the Cloud
Is this a CD player or cassette player?
Make sure you check your car before you buy, all additional wiring and converters can cost little fortune. I paid £32 to be able to control JVC unit from steering wheel..
I bought this one for my girlfriend for xmas and she loves it. Comes with a CD slot too so I think better value for money than the one in this deal. http://caraudiosecurity.com/kd-r741bt-cd-mp3-usb-ipod-ready-bluetooth
When I had a DAB radio, I just found a wider range of radio stations which might have been broadcasting stuff that I would have listened to, but not at the time I was listening. DAB reception is variable with factory-fitted aerials. With the easy to fit aftermarket ones, it is worse. Personally, I would rather record stuff to MP3 files with get_iplayer or listen to internet radio.
Thanks OP. Chris
There are two 2V pre-outs to connect up to an amplifier
It comes with external mic. Mine has suddenly stopped working. I have only had it a few of months
In the spec it says: Bluetooth(R) Wireless Technology* (USB Bluetooth(R) adapter included) Phone Book Access Profile, Phone Book Transfer, Hands-Free Call, Audio Streaming, Switching 2 Mobile Phones, Compatibility Check Mode The adaptor i pressume is for the phone etc. What kind of car do you have that you want to check the compatibility for ?
It will fit your car if you have a double din radio mount in the car. For an external mic im not too sure i pressume it would have an availability for one though
how do I know if it'll fit in my car, is there a compatiblity list somewhere ? Could'nt find it on the website. Does anyone know if this comes with an external mic or has an option for one that can be mounted on the steering for calls ?
Display doesnt look quite as nice but apparently there is software to change it from what ive heard, however theres only so much you can do i guess, like the colours set up though thats what caught my eye on alot of the boring head units
