Hey everyone found this for £25 at Tesco I believe Asda are doing it for the same price, normally £42-£45.

One of those ones that perpetually yo-yos between £25 and £40-45. Its OK for £25, but not great. I can't believe anyone anywhere has ever paid £42 quid for it.
For 25 this is lovely. Nobody in their right mind would ever pay 40.
This is a nice whiskey and I have previously bought it at this price. Its worth £25 but the finish isn't as lasting as I had hoped for and I'm not sure I would pay 42 for it!
Pops up at least once a week at this price somewhere. I think £25 might as well be treated as RRP and anything more is a rip off
This should be regarded as its usual price. Check previous posts.

11d ago. Amazon. £25
2m ago. Amazon. £25
4m ago. Amazon. £25
6m ago. Amazon. £25
7m ago. Asda. £25

So on and so on.

The pricing is just a marketing con. Stop falling for it.
There's are better whiskies out there to spend your 25 notes on!

Although I've bought and drunk the Cardhu (sucked in by the price drop when I bought it for £25 two years ago!) I am no expert to advise you I'm afraid.
In fact peaty and smoky ones are my preference!
Nice drink,

12 year old Strathisla.....not peaty or smoky.....citrus with a hint of caramel....£25 on Amazon at mo, much better than Cardhu!
WARNING -...This is a Cardhu Gold deal police alert.

The posting of a £25 deal for Cardhu Gold will alert the Cardhu Deal police because.

It's nearly ALWAYS £25 somewhere.

It has a artificially high RRP that makes £25 seem like a huge discount.

It has numerous postings on this site in which comments will tell you it's worth no more than £25 (if you like it)

Please search the word "Cardhu" to see how often this gets posted at £25.

As I always say when this gets posted: buy the whisky don't buy the discount. If you like this at £25 .. fine.

But if you are a casual buyer i suggest there are better malts out there for this money that don't have a artifical discount on the price label to lure you into a purchase and give you a false impression that you got a deal on it at £25

Agree with Joolt. Strathisla 12 is decent stuff.

I would add:

Aberlour 10- £22
Glenmorangie 10 - £25 (too sweet for me but a decent dram)
Bushmills 10 -£24.90
Crown Royal - £25
Tomatin Legacy -£25.99 (very nice dram)

If you can stretch to £30 Glengoyne 10.

All at Amazon today

I'll add:

Highland Park 12 - £25 - Amazon
Bowmore 12 - £27 - Amazon

You can often get Old Pultney 12 and Aberlour 12 for £25
Finished off a Pultney last week and I quite enjoyed it....very moorish. Tried it with a small chunk of ice and for me it improved it. Always used to drink whisky neat but I've found them to be more flavoursome with a small cube.
