hi I did this last week with a relative, the reason I put it on here was I had no idea about it we had our money out £120 for 3 tickets ad the lady at the info centre said O you are a carer (as I was the one pushing the chair) you go free, so we split the £80 cost between the 3 of us

They nearly ALL give free entrance to carer when DLA recipient pays full entrance, you just need to ask in advance to be sure.

Happy to vote hot in case others were not aware of this.

Pfff. I'd be quick, Conservatives will put a stop to this soon as they hear about it. (Unless you're disabled and a millionaire, in which case you'll get a tax break and free fish n chips).

carers have always been free at all Merlin attractions, also get fast track passes if you take diagnosis or doctors letter for Autism.

Works at the Beamish Museum as well

They probably won't stop this.

I've only recently become disabled, which as you can imagine is a bit of a downer, the only upside I've found is that I go to a lot of gigs and always get the carer in free so split it between us, you always get good seating as well, I'm almost glad I can't walk lol.

My partner is disabled and I am his career I can say that I have been to most of the attractions above and most places I go including the Theatre, cinema etc. I always check if they do career discount and most places do

good to hear, but not all places offer the info up front, last year got our tickets from the tower and they could see one of our party was in a chair but they did not tell us about the discount, we need to take you with us as I am to shy to ask

Yes I do find a majority of places keep it quiet. It wasn't until I asked once and got a full free ticket for me, as a career, to an event that I realised I should always ask. You can always call up and ask too.

Great Deal

Hi, does this apply if you book the big ticket online? My son has autism and I'm his carer was looking at the big ticket online, it says you save 52% online x

Sorry I am not sure about this, but it must still apply, there may be a be a way online of ordering a carer ticket, the only prob I see is proving you are a carer with an online purchase, our ticket was purchased at the information centre which is on the seafront opposite Harry Ramsdens fish n chip shop it was £40
