HEADS UP FOR WEDNESDAY 30th APRIL

Since running out of my stockpiled 3 for £20 Carlsberg last week, I have been looking for the best deal around, and I was gonna settle for Asda's 24 x 275ml for £11.49 ish but when I went in my local Tesco this afternoon They had pallets of it near the front doors, so I asked a nice lady working on the wines and spirits aisle what was happening with all the pallets and was told it was going half price on Wednesday from £14.99 to £7.49!!!

Hope it helps somebody!!

But you can buy Carlsberg Export in cans at Asda, 40 x 440ml for £20 = £1.14 per litre / 65p per pint.

You can buy Boheme 5% ABV imported lager in cans at Tesco, 4 x 440ml for £2 = £1.14 per litre / 65p per pint.

Or you can but genuine imported Becks lager in bottles in Morrsions or Asda, 40 x 275ml for £16 = £1.45 per litre / 83p per pint.

To me, this means that if you like Carlsberg Export, there is a better deal out there and if you prefer imported lager, there is a better deal out there and if you want a brand name imported bottled lager, you don't have to pay much more.

What a cheap marketing trick. These were a tenner last week in tesco, now they have put the price up to £14.99 so they can reduce it to £7.49 &can advertise it as 1/2 price.

Quite a good deal but still a trick to make you think you are getting a better deal than u actually are.

Stella's the same. was £10, now £13.98. 20x284 40% increase followed by a 50% reduction.

No, for sure, if you want that specific UK brewed premium strength lager in a bottle, then your post offers the best price.

Exactly, I’ll happily pay more to drink it from bottles although for people that don’t mind buying cans they do usually get better deals.

Not really, the price of supermarket beer varies a lot and £10 for this is still a fairly good price so £15 does seem to be the RRP; £7.49 is excellent though.

Do I care what they advertise the reduction as? I don’t care a bit; I buy on price in relationship to typical street prices, worrying about RRP and price reduction percentages is for dummies. People that buy beer regularly will know what a good price is and ignore the half price aspect.

Why on earth would you want to do that when you can pour it down your throat FAR quicker from a can.:?

Sadly this offer is not available on line in the Dorchester area???????
Will check out the store later .:?:?

Won't be available online until later today. Wednesdays special offers don't normally make it into the store until midnight Tuesday and don't normally make it online until it's too late to order for the Tuesday.

very nice - been waiting for the offers for a big party this weekend

I agree - in fact I posted the Boheme deal hotukdeals.com/ite…can

Looked out for this in my local Tesco (Milton Keynes - Kingston) this morning and they have the boxes near the entrance but with a massive £14.99 sign on them

Since the OP clearly indicated that the offer begins on Wednesday, you have to think that if you go in tomorrow, the £14.99 sign will have been replaced with a £7.49 sign.

For anyone popping into Tesco to get this, it's worth checking whether there are any reduced to clear offers on the beer shelves. Today in my local store, they had 4 x 330ml bottles of Vratislav Czech Lager reduced to £1.50. This works out at £1.14 per litre / 65p per pint, which is very good when you consider that this is generally rated as a decent enough beer. They also had Oakleys Original Cider, 4 x 568ml bottles for £2.50. Obviously, this works out at under 63p per pint. The cider had sold out before I got there and the I took the last 7 packs of the lager, so I guess it will be a bit pot luck.
