Drummer here, just so you know this kit will sound and feel terrible, but that's okay, it's cheap as anything. You could spend this amount of money on a single piece of a decent Roland kit

This is the "I/my kids want to play drums but don't know if I'll stick at it" kit to buy. Great for learning, then you buy something a bit snazzier when you know you want to take it a bit more seriously

I'm after a starter kit for my son, but not something he will outgrow after a few lessons. Anyone have experience of this kit and can you recommend it? The other one I was looking at is the Alesis Drums Nitro Mesh Kit which is around £370. Any serious advice appreciated.

We're currently shopping for an electronic kit for my 9 year old daughter.

Spoke to a guy at PMT in Nottingham yesterday and he doesn't rate the Alesis Nitro Mesh. Says the heads wear out. Recommends instead the tourtech TT 22M or the 20M which is the same kit but without the 'real' kick pedal (has a midi bass drum pedal instead).

He sells both Alesis and tourtech.
