No, but that's where it comes out when your engine is knackered
I'm sure it's fine but I like to stick to brands I'm familiar with, usually either manufacturers own, Mobil,Millers, Fuchs or Shell Helix....but tbh cheap stuff would probably do me as my cars get a change every 4000 miles if that....don't believe the manufacturers mileage crap,if you do short runs and commutes you can half their service interval, keeps the engine good especially if fitted with a timing chain.

Amazing prices - 5 litres of 5w30 only a fiver and 1 litre for a quid!

The same spec but cheaper is still good oil & good for more frequent oil change (engine flush) to get rid of the gunk
It's 4 litre bottles. Still cheap but Carlube not even a decent brand. Would only use in a few hundred pound road runner vehicle.
I just looked on the B&M website and the 5 litre 10W40 is now reduced to only £3.
unbelievably price... you'd pay that for 5 litres of mineral water.

thanks op

picked up a 4l 5W40 , last one , scanned at £5.

have used Carlube for years , good oil . GSF supply it at reasonable prices with discount code

apparently the reason it's in pound shops is because Carlube marketing are now reserving the Triple R logo for its top end , performance oils.
the lower spec oils are now branded just Carlube , same oil , different packaging
I think as a brand Carlube are working their way up as Comma did (Halfords oil is Comma I believe)...they do alot of fluids, power steering, brake fluid etc.....tbh I don't think it would kill anything,it's got to be up to some spec.....wouldn't be surprised if Carlube and Comma, Halfords,Eurocarparts QX used the same stuff.
Thanks bought 2 in dudley

I went to my local store but only one R lube left, 5W40, which wasn't what I was after.

but they had RAC branded oil for a fiver. Picked up two 10W40 and one 5W30.
Well wirth a fiver each.
