Found in ASDA Minworth. They were marked up on the shelf as "sorry out of stock" I asked at a till how much and it scanned at £3.00 so I bought two!

OK, so its not Castrol but at this price its good enough for my X-reg Mondeo!

It looks like depending on which ASDA you go to you can get this or the Carlube Triple R High Mileage 15w40 for £3.00 as spotted earlier by IanPar.

Yup, not a bad picture from my 6 year old bargain Minolta Dimage Z10 (£85 at the time). I used GIMP to cut & paste two images into one. (_;) I'll probably get a new camera one day but as this one still works why bother?

I've used carlube semi synthetic for years now, I buy it from a car trade outlet whenever it is £7.99 +VAT on offer, plainly £3 is HOT!

Can I use this as fuel?? 75p/litre!!!

Can you use this for cooking?

If you're buying this for a make other than Ford or for an engine not listed there, check the specs vs. the specs on this (actually, check the specs anyway - they'll be in the owners manual). It only meets ACEA A1/B1 which is a bit crap.

Voted hot - great price.

****.

This is the exact spec oil for a Mazda RX-8 if anyones wondering, great price.

Certainly good enough for my old MX-5.

@weiran Are you saying it's OK to use in an RX-8 or that Mazda officially recommends this oil? I know they are possibly the most fussy engines in terms of what oil they use and they drink the stuff too. Would be a fantastic deal for anyone with a rotary engine to stock up on if true.

I guess on the 1 hand it's one of the cheaper brands, but Hey It is Semi Synthetic oil so can't be that bad. To be honest if I saw this I would pick up a can for the missus's Almera. Semi Synthetic is quite good oil.

Once upon a time there was just mutigrade oil, now there's so many ruddy types you really do need to check the specs for your car.

Unfortunately, semi-synthetic is a misnomer until they tighten up the regulations - they don't have to specify how much synthetic there is in there.

However, if this meets the spec for your engine, it'll be fine as long as you follow the change intervals.
