after some new road shoes just dont want white. i've only ever owned one pair from when i first started and they are basic boardmans to wouldnt mind trying soemthing else which are reasonably priced (fair weather rider) any suggestions?

SPD or SPD-SL? (metal or plastic cleats)

I personally like having at least one, but preferably two BOA dials for on the go adjustment. You can't go wrong with Shimano. Decathlon do some decent cheaper models as well. Sport Pursuit have some cheap Lake's if you're lucky on sizing.

I have these (albeit the next version up "Prove") and they fit true to size, I wear a 9 trainer and the 9's are perfect for me.
