Love to buy but no storage space to keep. Might put it behind the sofa. …Love to buy but no storage space to keep. Might put it behind the sofa. How good is this compare to VAX CC.?

Use it, then lend it to a relative, hopefully they'll have it months before you need it again

Does it come with a separate hose? I mean for cleaning in tighter/smaller spots?

I don't think it does to be honest.
Ah that’s a shame. Voted hot anyway because it’s a great price

I wouldn't know, I reckon it will do the job and the reviews seem good, a Vax would probably be better though.
i have the hoover (brand) equivalent to this.
you wouldnt want to clean an entire room as its not much cop to be fair.
ok for small spills or small patches of carpet

How would this compare to a Rug Doctor? We have been meaning to wash our carpets for ages but the cost of renting this machine and buying a bottle of cleaner isnt far off the price of this plus we could at least continue to re-use it. Im definitely not expecting a lot for the price though.

I wouldn't know to be honest but the reviews seem decent and at this price it's worth a try. It probably wouldn't compare to a rug doctor in all honesty. I imagine this doing the job but being harder work than the rug doctor to get to the same standard of cleanliness.
Looks like a vax unit I had, just squirt solution on the carpet then sucks it up, no agitation, just squirt and suck

not a patch on the rug doctor, had a similar vax unit, gave it away and bought a bissel puzzie type unit

I could be wrong, but this aldi model appears to be the budget sort without a rotating brush to scrub the carpet, so wont be in the same league. Although, I do remember being rented a rug doctor with the brush head missing and a dried dog poo stuck inside a wheel, where we didn't discover it until the carpet got wet Which is one of the reasons we now own our own bissel.

If this is just a fixed brush model, I'd suggest a proper wet n dry vacuum cleaner with carpet shampoo mode would be more useful.
Looks like this Vax which I actually have;
spares.vax.co.uk/pow…ers

It's not amazing, but if it's just a freshening up it's not bad.
You need one with the rotating brush to really get that carpet ocd clean!
No bluetooth either so not for me!
