Never seen the point in scraping and using this stuff.

It only takes less than 10 mins to jump in the car with the engine running and blowers on full to defrost the front, size and rear windows fully (even quicker if you have a car with heated front windscreen).

Also gives you a chance to be in slightly less freezing conditions and catch up on EMAILS/paperwork/UK Hot Deals whilst you are waiting.

Different matter with snow as I brush the whole car down (roof included).

Thanks for the

Just set the alarm a few mins earlier or do something in the car whilst you are waiting that you would have done in the house before leaving.

It's not like I've got all the time in the world in the morning with work and kids, but somehow manage it.
Never been fond of de-icer though to each their own. I use a brass blade, similar to this... amazon.co.uk/Sil…per

And if you leave it running keys in, and some scrote has it away, your insurance won't pay out

Like I say I sit it in with the engine running listening to the radio catching up with EMAILS/paperwork and UK Hot Deals etc whilst others are freezing scraping their windows.

I don't hate them. I just don't see the point.
A lot of the time you have to sit there anyway defogging the inside anyway.
The crap doesn't work anyway.
The point is, they defrost the windows. Quite quickly too.

Takes less than 2 mins to chuck warm water over the car, then do it again with hand hot water to prevent it refreezing. Never had a problem with cracked glass as warm water doesn't have that effect. No wasting fuel or time sitting with the engine running while you wait for the car to warm up.
