(Ladies' versions also available in Medium and Large for £20 more)

Halfords have 10% off accross the board today and you can still use the discount codes, so DOUBLE DISCOUNT and then maybe even more off with the discounted Halfords vouchers trick and/or the 10% for British Cycling Members.

RRP reduced from £399.99 to £229.99 on the website. Go to checkout and the price reduces to £206.99. Apply discount code B15HYB01 for 10% off Hybrid bikes, bringing the price down to £186.29.
Reserve the bike at your local store at this price and don't forget to go through Quidco or Topcashback for 3%.
Now, go to select.halfordsbusinessservices.co.uk/ and buy the right amount of Halfords gift vouchers (£190 worth), then at checkout enter the code ELGHAL13 (type it in, not cut and paste) for 10% off the gift vouchers (you may need to register first). Amount to pay £171.
You should receive your vouchers via Special Delivery the next working day and pay for your bike in-store with the discounted vouchers.
It's up to you whether you "try your hand" with the additional 10% off for British Cycling members, which costs £25 using discount code CYCLESCH (see here http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/article/halfords-discounts), by showing your membership card in-store. If they honour the extra 10% off then the potential price is £153.90 (for a £400 bike).

Obvious question I know but looking to get fit and only have a mountain bike. Only use main roads and occasional canal towpath so would this be suitable or would a road bike be better. Find the mountain bike a bit of a slog

Get a hybrid, they roll loads better on the road, cycle paths and canal paths due to having 700c wheels as opposed to 26".

£229 again now even when added to basket. Seems the 2pm deadline was correct.

Even a road bike with drops can handle cycle paths & canal paths fine..... although these bikes will take a bit of getting used to if you've never ridden one. They are also lighter than a hybrid.

Thanks. Just reserved the last one in Peterborough just before 2pm

Don't seem to be working for me

who the hell can fit on a 22" bike? even for 6" this would too big

People taller than 6ft?

Great commuter bike, but not much different from a mountain bike with slick tyres. I have one and use it regularly but I'd get a boardman or better quality hybrid with narrower tyres!

Didn't buy this bike but did just buy the Apollo excelle hybrid using the extra 10% & it worked saving me £13 : ) thanks
