For the money this doesn't look too bad. I nearly bought one as a winter hack when they were this price last year.

It comes out pretty well in the review on Bikeradar

For this sort of cash your other alternatives are Decathlon or looking secondhand.
Good price.

Agree with beardyweirdy, Decathlon bikes are really good value and decent quality. The Triban 3 is similar spec if you don't fancy the Carrera.
It's pretty good for the price, but take no notice of any previous "prices" that Halfords use.
Hi

I've got this bike, bought it last summer as someone new to road riding and not wanting to spend a fortune. I've added some clip in pedals and am really pleaesed with it. The only gripe for me is that the gearing is quite high, so (bigger) hills are hard work. I'm looking to change the front set to remedy this.
Does anyone know when the sale on the Carrera bikes finishes as I am looking at one but I am waiting for some Leisure vouchers to come through to put towards it?

Try NUSAPR12 for 10% off. I bought the Decathlon triban 3 instead. Carbon front fork
