WOW.
Total effective cost of £15.90 over 2 years, if you factor in the £44.10 TCB as well. This is insane.

OP - great deal - better for you to put effective price in the title. Hot from me. Could go either way with the voting though, with ye strange peeps on the site!

Crazy deal. Heat added
This should be over 100 degrees easily.

Maybe if the title was re-jigged to suggest the lower amount it will make it.

As per pete1993's comment the potential cash back makes this crazy.

After MPD cash back and TCB (If works ok) It is about 66p a month for 3GB data Unl texts and calls with a £109 phone included!!

If you want you can also look at other options and get say 4GB data for £1 per month extra for 8GB data for £6.50 (All after the MPD cash back).

Agree, people tend to be governed by the numbers jumping out at them, act rashly before taking in the info. I should know, done it myself,😔, Learnt my lesson though
this is an amazing deal not sure why it is cold ?
After saying the above I realised I hadn't voted!

My bad lol. Heated and made 100 degrees now.

This deal is extremely good value, for light users alone and near medium also.

Can add on a bit more data if needed.

Anyone else getting an error message when trying to move forward with the order?
For whatever reason I cant edit the details to change the numbers. A mod changed it after I submitted the deal

Have you considered what will happen if the money offering cashback goes down? You will still be tied in paying £19 per month to o2.

I got burnt once hence don't touch them. Maybe with mobiles.co.uk as they are owned by carphonewarehouse, but with other companies I will be careful esp it's a 24 months contract and we have just left Europe.

Not that it isn't still a great deal if all cashback is paid, but you can probably roughly double that £15.90 as I imagine the £19pm contract will be subject to the usual O2 RPI increases, and those happen in April.
O2 spiked my bill during both of the contracts I had via CPW on cash back deals in years gone.

In spite of this I've saved about £2,000 over the years I did such deals. I now work for a telco so I don't need to do these deals. Else I would take the risk on this one.

*Only been burned once during a cash back deal when the company went bust.
You learn something new: Mobile Phones Direct is operated by AO Mobile Limited, registered in England with company number 07570386whose registered office is at 5a, The Parklands, Lostock, Bolton, BL6 4SD
Support ID: 7HM7L6

So they are actually part of the AO group although as a separate company

AO bought them last year I think, or maybe a while longer.

If this company goes bust then o2 ain't going to honor the cashback. Am I right?

You're right! No one will honour any cash back if the seller of the deal goes bust.
I would still suggest such deals are worth the risk, as you're not going to get a better deal anyway. I've saved a lot doing these deals for years. Will do again if they still exist as and when i need to

You might be right.. I think I will get it
I got a similar deal on the Huawei P30 Lite before Xmas and so did DH. I didn't even need a new phone but due the O2 deal alone was worth it. You can always sell the phone to Cex.

Brother going to get this one, thx OP. Should be hotter.

Quick question tho, if someone is already with O2 do they have to leave and come back?
So £2.50 x 24 =£60 less £44.10 Topcashback = £15.60 / 24 = 0.65 p / month

If you just need another sim and can afford the initial outlay of £19/month and happy with cashback pretty good deal.

On top of that you could stick sim in another phone and cell to CEX if you dont like phone and just want a free/profit sim for £51 that would give a net profit of £51-£15.60 = £35.402

Shame it O2 as not the best signal for me.

Can say Mobiles Direct have been great got the free Samsung S9 with 100Gb data over 14 months ago (best deal on here for along time) just done one of the claims online for £96 dead simply download Vodaphone bill login to MPD account submit bill email within 3 mins Comfirmed payment in 14 days can't sat better than that.
Has anyone got the TCB cashback confirmed yet?
Same deal available with Honor 10 Lite too. That phone is v. similar, only differences are better front camera but only single-band wifi.

Yep. It slightly baffles me why Huawei would bother to produce two almost identical phones at the same price point but as mentioned above, Honor 10 has the edge camera-wise...
