Lots of varieties of Casillero del Diablo for the equivalent of £4.83 a bottle on Amazon's Deal of The Day

The Carmenere in particular isn't usually reduced - currently around £6.50 a bottle at Ocado.

Thanks, 2 cases of Carmenere on the way!

Is it only prime?

Thanks OP, I'll cancel my Tesco order now

Thanks ordered 3 cases Carmenere. As you say only Ocado ever really do deals on this variety (Currently £6.36).

Noticed when I came to checkout (using a £25 Amazon gift card) a banner offering £5 extra if I topped up gift card balance by £50. Did this first. Credit added almost instantly, so got an extra fiver off. The banner displayed just above my saved list of payment cards for anyone else ordering over £50 worth (It's possible you need more than a zero gift card balance for this offer to come up because I haven't seen it before I added the £25 card I already had).

Didn't notice any Prime exclusivity mentioned when I posted it at 4am

Can't see anything mentioned now either - just says Deal of The Day.

Thanks & heat. Purchased - Love a Carmenere!

Their Malbec is the best

Thank you for the tip. I had an extra £6 on a £30 gift card on mine. I didn't have any credit beforehand. So double HOT

Malbec was never included - the ones in the deal description were the only reds and also a couple of whites.

Thanks OP - wouldn't have noticed that and especial bargain as saw the Amazon PayPoint top up £20 and get £5 bonus (valid to 31 Dec) yesterday on here, so had done that at local CoOp while picking up their £5 frozen deal, so net cost only £23.99 for 6 Carmenere = major saving!

Am I missing something or are you asking if this deal is cheaper than somewhere else?

Either way, I wasn't aware Tesco were selling Casillero's Carmenere for £5.09 a bottle.

It's available on Tesco Wines for £8 a bottle at the moment.

I think you are referring specifically to the Cabernet variety which is £6.50 in Tesco groceries with a buy 6 25% discount making it £29.95 for 6 or £4.87 a bottle. The Amazon price is a saving of 96p or 16p a bottle.

The other advantage to buying this from Amazon is they will deliver free and Tesco won't. You will however miss out on 29 clubcard points worth about 29p or up to 4 x 29p on a clubcard deal. The biggest advantage to buying from Tesco is you can mix and match your 6 wines with other varieties.

As the OP points out you cannot get Carmenere cheaper anywhere.

Weirdly Amazon have dispatched 1 of my 3 cases - at no cost to me - with the others arriving later.

Eloquently summarised.

Not a great wine in my opinion and red wine is all I drink, pretty much the correct price and NOT a deal

There are better wines out there at the same price or even less

Cool. Be a sweetheart then and start a deal listing these amazing wines at amazing prices.

Or are you waiting for your 3 year anniversary?

Hi Bonzo, was wondering if you could assist me. Being the red wine connoisseur that you are, could you help me with finding a good red to drink of price similar price on the high street/ online. Cheers bud

Perfectly good red wine here

In my opinion much tastier than Diablo

My 3 cases of Carmenere arrived this morning, and I don't even have Prime membership. Huge amount of packaging which is a shame. The bottle year is 2015. Thanks OP.

You will be pleasantly surprised with Dreamtime Ridge more flavour than Diablo which I think is a "thinner" wine it's still good tho

I'll add some to my next Asda shop.

For anyone who likes red wine, avoid this, it’s not very nice.....

You could probably do with being more specific. There were more than 3 varieties of red in this offer.

Casillero del Diablo Reserva Carmenere

Although given the quality of that variety, it would be sensible to suggest they were all of similar quality.
