Was this price before Xmas hotukdeals.com/dea…884

*seems Amazon have amended the description to say "Womens" rather than "Mens" as previously. Feedback does suggest the case size is small hotukdeals.com/com…333
plenty of male Amazon customers submitting reviews/photos, though! See below for (male) on-arm photos.
Argos' listing for this watch says "Mens" *

£9.99 at Argos too: argos.co.uk/pro…883

Good watch for the price, I got one from Argos yesterday, the only thing I dont like is the bleeping can't be switched off when you go through the modes, e.g selecting stopwatch, but apart from that, it is a good watch for work.
Always this price. Bought it 6 years ago.

Always /becomes/ this price. I've been checking weekly since January after losing mine and it was £20 until today. Heat.

So, rather than this being a /deal/ it's just overpriced sometimes then reduced to normal price regularly.
Great watch for work takes a battering, got for this price last year at Argos.

I can go with that. But since I was (perhaps selfishly) refusing to buy it over £10 I'm glad the non-deal was posted!
Casio.. please just add pedometer to your watches and I will be again your loyal fan.
I got one of these last Xmas at this price from Argos.
An amazing watch for the price. It's a really cool and nice watch. I like light ones, so i don't take it off even when I go to sleep.
Nearly bought until I realised the third pic is a child's wrist. I hate small watches I'm too used to gshock.

It's not - it's a still from this French Youtube review, at least, I assume it's an adult, my French isn't too good! I did suggest that some larger male wrists wouldn't be able to wear this - and there are plenty of male reviews on Amazon/Argos. All you can do is read reviews and look at customer photos to gauge its size.

I have a few watches of various sizes and decided I love my "feels like you're wearing nothing" Casio. Not too big on the wrist, ultra-light - only issue with the small "retro"-style watch I have is that the Electro Luminescence (turquoise illumination) doesn't have a setting that allows you to set it for 2-3 seconds a time, like my old Timex Indiglo.

Maybe the problem is that I posted it over two months ago, and it's seen as "lazy" (?). Guilty as charged, m'laud. But I do like Casio

As well as the Camels info above it is currently £23.80 at John Lewis and the heat suggests it is a deal.

So like I said, selling it overpriced then dropping the price regularly since 2013 isn't a deal. Selling it cheaper than it usually is; £7.99 occasionally, is a deal.

We get the point - I think we should agree to disagree! It was £7.99, once, on 25th November 2015.

Fixed it for you

Being a deal is not just about the bottom line price, but also the relative value/worth of the product and in this case, this is well reviewed, so many would consider it a deal at various price points below RRP, not just the cheapest it's ever been. This is currently the best price for a well regarded product, ergo a deal.

Good spot op, cool price, great watch, dodgy strap. Had one for a couple of years. Watch fine, strap knackered.

Anyone know where I can get a new strap for a few quid?

It's a bit confusing, because Amazon's listing for this watch says "Band Width 20 millimetres", may need to double-check.

£1.99 here for 20mm lug width strap (can't vouch for quality, but reviews look good), Chinese seller though amazon.co.uk/Uni…OA/

£2.75 from the UK ebay.co.uk/itm…207

Slightly different style, from the UK, £2.50 (comes with pins, though the W-96H uses screws, could just re-use the originals) ebay.co.uk/itm…760

This one is the official "Casio 10076822" strap, but says strap width 16mm (?) £6.64 Add-On amazon.co.uk/Cas…6ME

This generic W-96H strap says "...measures 18mm across the fitting and 23mm width at widest point." watchbattery.co.uk/sho…tml

This W-96H strap ebay listing at £5.49 ebay.co.uk/itm…590 has this diagram33282108-doOO5.jpgA N/A
B 25mm
C 105mm
D 70mm
E 120mm

Good luck, it was bamboozling me!!

Edit: A few comments on the first Amazon (generic strap) link say:

Measure from the widest part of the strap, where the pin goes through.
By Mark on 22 August 2017

There measured from where the pin goes through the hole from one to other
By K walker on 21 August 2017

The 18/20/22mm measurement is the gap on the actual watch where strap is attached to. Google 'Strap Sizing Guide | Crown & Buckle' crownandbuckle.com/sizing & this will explain all.

I've just noticed this model of watch has actually been on HUKD quite a lot over the years from doing a quick search (I originally posted this from my tablet in the middle of the night - previously I found it before Xmas, just by chance). So maybe that's what's prompting the moans about it. Sorry.

The Casio I really like is the "Casio Royale" (green map/amber screen version AE-1200WH-1B - apart from the "sweaty" resin strap) but it would be much too bulky and cumbersome for my toddler wrists, if only they made a womens' version! Many mens' watches are so much more interesting than Womens' (I do like a bit of glam, but I like a bit of techie nonsense as well)!
