Spend some 20 pounds more and get Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12. It's far better: greater aperture, image stabilization, better macro, better movie clips,.]

these are great cause they are so slim, fit in any pocket, dont have to leave it around on tables when you go out

picture quality is great for this type of compact camera, battery life aint bad either very good price too!

Casio has anti shake

Casio has anti shake

This particular casio achieves anti-shake by boosting the iso. Not the same as mechanical image stabilisation (achieved by sensor shift or lens - the panasonic has lens stabilisation). However the casio is definitely more pocketable and im not sure where you can get the dmc-fx12 for 90 quid.

Thats very true, I have a lower model, I believe its the S600 and its the slimmest camera I have ever had which is over 5mp and has a 3x optical zoom. So for size, I have never used a slimmer camera.

Heeh :giggle: , well I did think the same thing as you, but the battery on mine (not this exact model but similar) is very good. It has 'Super Life - 300 shots CIPA Standard'

I have never had a flat battery with the camera, and I do take quite a few pictures. The only downside I have noticed with the casios (the slim versions) is that when using the flash, they can take a while to charge up when you first put the camera on or if you take a few pictures in succession.

A dedicated battery will usually last far longer than AA's rechargeables or standards.

My Fuji F11 gives 500 shots on a single charge, no AA's can match that.;-)

:-D Indeed, together with a huge bulge in your pocket, possibly a hernia, possibly not.:)

Bought this a few weeks back, only available in black for £70, the silver one was £149 and still is in my local ASDA, the camera is ok but does look a bit cheap in black, and the battery is a casio NP-20, you also get a camera case, an 256mb SD card and a camera to pc cable included in the box, so you don't have to buy any extras unless you want to.

For £70 you really can't go wrong, you also get a 50 free prints voucher too.

Voted hot.

Does anyone know of any ASDA's that have any left?

what store is that ?

Can't find any in Glasgow :-(

Picked one up at wembley, perfect small size, just what i wanted as a small point and shoot. Also being SD is handy as is the case.

I bought some compatible batteries for my Casio S600 from 7dayshop.com they were about £4.99.... Same ones will work in this camera....

Was wondering if there is a 10 minute limit when using the camcorder video recorder? Can somone check for me? thanks....

battery is dead on mine, damn, and was only passing wembley today, usually nowhere near, need it for friday :x

Does anybody know of any stores in Merseyside that may have them? I've tried 3 in Liverpool but no luck yet.

Llanelli store

none instore at Pilsworth, Bury nor at Rawtenstall - they only have the EXZ75 for £89 apparently... these are the different coloured ones, does anyone know if it is only cheaper when they scan it or is it a special offer that's advertised?

Does anyone know of any stores in the London area (preferably South or Central) that probably has them?

I checked in my local branch (Clapham Junction) last nite and they didn't.

Really want on of these for upcoming holiday!

Thanks

I tried a few in east london to replace the faulty one I picked up at wembley, but alas no

So does wembley have any left?

Yes, I believe they do. I got mine at 3pm yesterday and they had about 6. I would try and get the charger/battery tested while there though, mine was dead

Original Poster

I got another yest and they had four still.

There is battery and charger in it and a 256mb card...whcih i was quite surprised with...oh and a nice lil case for the cam :o)

FYI

I paid £130 for mine at xmas, black version, lovely camera, takes nice pictures and is excellent for a point and shoot! movies are good aswell! well chuffed for what i got, i really like it so would definatly give it a thumbs up! bargin for £70!

I've had one of these for about 18months, it's ace - you can take it anywhere as it's so small and it takes excellent pictures :-D .
