Expired a long time ago approx 11 months, now at Tesco online, great reviews, I presume from the younger generation as I wouldn't know how to work it " old age thing me thinks lol " have a look you might find it useful for education purposes at that price.

The Casio fx-83GT Plus calculator has an innovative twinline 10 digit ‘natural text book display,’ which makes the numbers and formula easier to read.

This black calculator is packed with 260 functions, including 164 scientific functions (verify, prime factorisation, recurring decimals and random integers etc.) to help your child with their Key Stage 3 and 4 mathematics.

The FX-83GT Plus comes with a slide-on hard case and features an automatic shut-off function. Batteries are included.

If I have missed this deal through another present HUKD thread please excuse reposting, delete if that is the case many thanks

Amazon same price, although you have to spend total £20 before they will sell it to you. Looks like the one that Pondland knocks out, presumably a clone, probably branded Sacio.

is this 4g, or wifi only? which server does it get its answers from, Google? bing? what's the range like on the voice activation? i only ask as my son needs a new device to do his maths homework for him.

just noticed it's got physical buttons instead of a touchscreen, seems a bit dated no wonder it's cheap (_;)

Your taking the Michael... Michael

Even though I have a scientific PhD, this is far too complicated for me (do the calculation and then ask the children what the result is in real figures rather than fractions.......) even though it is the one that they have to use for maths in schools.

I stick to the calculator on my phone nowadays.

yeah but when skynet takes over and the bombs fall, these will still be useful, whereas your phone will be used against you to help the terminators seek and destroy. I've got a Casio scientific that's over 15 years old perhaps even 20 and it still functions perfectly, hasn't even needed so much as a battery change in all that time.

judgement day. never forget. X)

Excellent calc, got me through my bachelors and masters

Now you're just showing off

Suggesting to a kid at school that they spend £5 on a calculator was tantamount to suggesting private education. However they would suggest using their iPhone vii instead.
