Found 6th Sep 2015
This is currently again/still half price at Tesco at £5.50.
Also in the Clubcard Boost (minimum spend of £10) so in theory you can buy 2 calculators for £5.50 instead of £11 using your vouchers.

The FX-83 (non solar) is also on sale for £4.50

Not condemning your deal in the least OP, but it reminded me, upon searching for the unit in asda the other week, the solar ones were round the corned for the same price as this (£5.50) ..just so folk can make their minds up & save petrol.

Heat, it is a great calculator, & my kid better not lose it lest she gets a smack on the backside! ( yes really)
good calculator, slightly annoying that the default display method is fractions rather than decimals, but easily changed.
Or the Casio FX-83GTPLUS Scientific Calculator is £4.50 at Amazon as an Add-on Item. It's not solar though.

I think it was this one (non-solar) was £5 in store in staples - either is worth it at that price.

Also Casio FX-83GTPLUS (£4.50) in Tesco is in 4 for 3 offer along with double points.
Just ordered 4 for a total value of £13.50 which in clubcard points only cost 6.75.
Much better value. Only difference from this one is solar charging which in my opinion is not of much use
as calculators consume very less battery.
These are 10p in the Sainsbury's where I work & am told they are in most of the Bristol area

Only if you want 4 though!
I remember having an awesome scientific calculator when I was in school 25+ years ago. I used it for +,-,/ and *. I didn't have a clue what the other squiggly writing stuff did on the keys. I did press them all to see what would happen, eventually the calculator just came up with an E which means error. Oh yeah and I did use it to write Boobs and Shell Oil. I've never considered it to be a conspiracy until now.

This is the one I got form my boy who is just starting high school, really good for the money, very happy with it.
So I've got £10 pounds to buy my new maths equipment, if I buy this how much money will I have left for protractors?

Sorry mracerimmer I didn't keep my receipt but they have lots of stationary all at 10p & from the comments looks like someone else picked 1 up. If you have a local Sainsbury's it's worth a look
