Great calculator, absolute bargain
Got my son one, they are very very good
Keep the instructions she'll need them if she does a level maths
Jeez I've not long paid about £20 in Argos, my Son needed one for starting college!
Bargain for those that can find one!
Paid alot more as this is the calculator used for A level
No way. 3 quid. Miss priced if this is true.
Anybody found them in other branches?
🔥🔥 HoT Deal 🔥🔥

Really Important for GCSE maths but this covers A levels too!

Paid full price this year 2 wks ago coz Son needed it for yr11!!

Excellent Find & Thanks for sharing
Good calculator but just a warning these are alevel calculators and are much more confusing (as it has a ton more features) at first compared to the old GCSE calculators. I have both and in my as exam took both in
Useful at degree level too. I do recommend it. Heat
I wanted one of these for my son, he’s doing A-level maths. Cheapest I found was on Amazon for £22 I think. Will have a look for this. Thanks
Voted hot
Is this nationwide ?
What kind of asda store was it in
The standards ones, asda living etc ?
Thanks
In response to questions.
Its in the “back to school” area in the normal supermarket not the living store.
staff said itsprobably the same in all stores.

Picked up 2 of these at the Skelmersdale branch today at £3 each, had about 5 more on the shelf. Suspect it maybe nationwide.
Picked up the last one in Bilton, Hull on Thursday. Lots of the 'back to school' stationary was being cleared out, the best bargains had black and white shelf edge price sale labels. Lots of pens, crayons and notebooks at about one tenth of the original price. I think they had not long changed the pricing when I went in at about 11am as lots of the store staff were crowded around buying handfuls of the stuff themselves. Asda do occasionally take a hit like this to clear stuff out quickly.
Amazing calculators. Some of the statistics features on here are required for A-level, but I'd recommend them for GCSE students, as there are so many cool features like the ability to solve polynomials (quadratics) which will make their life a lot easier.

I'm tempted to pop down to Asda tomorrow morning and I already own one - an absolute bargain

If you can't find this, they're about £13 on eBay from reputable sellers. I got mine from there
Bargain. Paid £16 from Argos about about 3 weeks ago.
These calculators can now also be used in the new GCSE maths and they have some helpful features for GCSE, such as solving simultaneous equations and solving quadratic/cubic equations automatically
Scanning at £25 in the Blackpool store. Good find seems store specific

You dont “need” one of these for A-level maths the fx-85gt (now replaced by fx-85gtx) iteration is perfect, I used one for an engineering degree

You do because the new A-Level requires data tables for the statistical component which is now compulsory - and this is the first iteration of CASIO calculators to have the tables built in. You can turn up to an exam without and be provided with paper tables but you'd be mad to do so. Fx-83/85/es/fx/etc are all perfect for GCSE. The FX-991 is overkill for GCSE, most children shy of top sets find them too complicated. And although these are good for A-Level students, if you can afford it a graphics calculator is infinitely better since visualising functions is half the battle for the pure components.
Full price in Corby
£25 in Livingston too. Scanned to check
Full price at Sunderland Leechmere
Just paid £13 for this at Tesco a few days ago. Bargain if you can get one... Most likely will be a wild goose chase
£3 in the Basingstoke store.
OOS in Weston-s-Mare (and SEL said £25), and Cribbs Causeway. Not stocked in Clevedon. In case it saves anyone a journey. Great price if you can get it.
Thanks op. Definitely store specific.
Damn, I'm using one of these for my engineering degree and paid around 14 for it. 3 is an absolute steal.

I just mentioned you need the instructions is all there are so many iterations of calculators that it's hard to know how to do certain things.

Keep your eyes open in Tesco's as well for these as they were £6 last year once the kids had gone back to school.
Great deal
