Good price on this Bluetooth enabled G-Shock watch.

Personally love G-Shock (I know they are not everyone's taste) and was looking for a new robust daily wear watch which could also be used to track my steps.

This ticks that box, also battery lasts approximately 2 years, is water resistant to 200m and being G-Shock will be practically bullet proof.

It's currently on sale from £119 to £71.40 (same price on Amazon at the moment) but using the '20off' code the price drops further to £57.12, which I think is pretty good - this includes free express delivery, etc.

I know it's not a serious fitness tracker as it does not do heart rate, sleep tracking, etc. But if you want a robust watch you do t need to keep charging which can also track your steps and calories burned, etc and sync to your phone via Bluetooth I think this is a nice option for the price.

Note: you can also get the white version (gba-800-7aer) slightly cheaper at £56.80 if you prefer (link below).

I’ve ordered 3 watches from the Watch Shop and I have to say, I’ve been really impressed with their service 👌
Wait for the rolex vs casio debate and how dated g shocks are...personally quite like this watch at £57 its a good price.
The Bluetooth seems like a bit of a gimmick on this watch...
Watch Shop are decent in my eyes. Made one purchase and one return and all went smoothly.

With regards to the Bluetooth. It's primary use is for a phone app which facilitates changing the time and setting alarms.. and not for notifications.

Not really, it’s works with an app on your phone to track your activity. It’s actually really good.

Perhaps if it had media controls etc...or phone notifications.

But given that many phones have a step tracker, and vastly better health trackers (Huawei/Xiaomi) can be had for less, I just don't see why Casio decided to add this functionality. Especially as the battery only lasts a couple of years.

Either do the Bluetooth thing properly, or not at all.

I disagree. It may be considered to misleading if one was to assume it was for notifications but they are up front about what the Bluetooth is for.

More importantly, my regular G-Shock is a pain in the behind to change the time on. It's something like Press A, Hold C, Press A again, use B/D to adjust the press C again. Every time I have to adjust it for daylight saving or traveling I have to Google it because months pass in between. And I never bothered to learn to use alarm, and the app makes a huge difference.

The battery takes minutes to replace. Personally, I think the appeal for some would be the G is cheap and very, very robust. I’d not want to run or swim or do anything where a very expensive phone could get damaged. My phone cost a fair bit, it’s much easier to wear this light, durable watch to play squash etc than risk my phone. It’s not for everyone, but Casio know their market.
Great price for this watch, I got it in September for £90 and was impressed with that at the time. It's a decent watch, best thing is the bluetooth for keeping time in sync with your phone. The activity tracking is ok... found that it stores about 10 days worth of activity on the watch then you have to remember and do a manual sync... just press one button on the watch and it does the rest. I'd say it's well worth a buy at this price

For anyone in the know re: watches - can you recommend either a decent watch or brand for those of us with skinny wrists - a lot of these on here are huge and would look daft on me. Is there a particular brand that's good for us people? Cheers

I’m not going to get into a long winded lecture, as I’m sure others will happily do. Firstly, avoid G Shocks, they won’t be for you if you’re looking for smaller. If you’d provide a little more info, I might be able to chuck a few suggestions your way. Gender? Budget? Do you wear the watch daily? Do you swim in it? Do you want analogue or digital? Is it to be worn with shirt cuffs?

This one's considerably smaller than the chunky g shocks so I wouldn't worry

Read what I wrote dear boy 👌

I specifically stated that this g-shock is neither a good fitness tracker (no HR monitor, no auto sync to a phone, no sleep tracking etc), or a good extension to a phone (no notifications, no media controls etc).

The Bluetooth and step tracker come at the expense of battery life (2 years rather than the 10 I normally get).

I actually like the design of the watch compared to other g shocks. But I think this is a really poor implementation of Bluetooth

Do you mean are the products original? Yes. They are owned by the same company who also own Goldsmiths, so no worries
Update: They have now changed to price up to £80 before the code is used and therefore £64 with code. This is now cheaper on Amazon who seem to have price matched this earlier today. (Link below)

In addition, the white version has now been removed from the sale on the site.

I’d say smaller. Not small.

Analogue, male, not worried about water resistance, to be worn daily. Have a cheapo £20 Superdry one at the mo but would love a decent watch. Have had a Seiko Kinetic in the past which I liked but found the daily time resetting a pain. Budget anything up to about £200. My problem is I've liked the look of loads of watches shown on here but they're always huge and no good for us skinny folk. Metal bracelets are no good as skinny wrist = most of the links having to be taken out which is fact, I'd want a strap with holes. Cheers

Ok. Firstly, I’m not up on the latest deals and whatever I say will, inevitably, cause chaos with everyone disagreeing with me, but I’ll offer a few suggestions. Some will be better than others, some maybe over budget. These are just my opinions. It’s difficult for me as I’ve got really big hands and wrists and usually my watches range from 42-50mm without looking big. For you, id say look for a 38-40mm case. I’m fond of Hamilton field watches, Seiko Presage and some smaller Citizen eco drives. With a little hunting, you should find one of those to suit your needs. Also, if you want something understated, Skagen make small, thin watches, although you’d only get a quartz. For £200 you’ll get something that looks nice. I’d probably say that Citizen will cater for your budget better than most, as they have a watch for just about every price. Tissot are a reputable brand and have strapped watches around that price, although their quality is under a cloud at the minute, I’ve never had any issues with them. They do subtle, leather strapped watches. Try to avoid fashion watches and instead choose a watch from a proper watch company. The only advice I could give you is spend time choosing, then really search for the best price. I got a £379 Citizen for £130 last week. There are deals everywhere, choose a place with a good reputation and returns policy, and pay with a credit card or PayPal for extra cover!
Price matched on Amazon as well. Now £64 . Gutted

Ah sorry to hear that. I have to admit mine came with no issues and been happy with it but often you really test a company's service when there is an issue. Hope you get it sorted!
