Got the normal display version (not reverse) for under £50 before xmas.

Apparently, there is a problem with the decorative screws.

I believe it's the same price at Argos as well. Nice find anyway though OP, heat added.
It's good that Casio seem to have gone back, in this watch at least, to digital displays only. The ones with fussy hands always seem to be much more difficult to read even in daylight. And the backlighting never seems to help at night
Good watch but black backdrop can be hard to see and automatic backlight goes off far to often so battery runs dry quite quick.

I've got the same watch. same thing happened to me, a 2-3 years ago, but only cost a £1 or 2 from casio. Has not come out since.

Good watch, great specs for the price but... crap in winter time, cant get enough solar charge. negative display looks good but a bit hard to read in low light.

Hi. Casio used to be near me , Staples Corner, near Brent Cross. No longer there though.
I just gave the watch in hoping it was under warranty. Sadly not but said it would cost me £25! Said no but bought the part for a couple of quid and just pushed it in.
If I can find the part number I'll post it.I'll check when I get home later tonight.
Part no. 10396607. Ask online at Casio.
Have also seen theses on eBay & online:

Casio have gone back to digital displays only... In this watch?!
Yes THIS WATCH is digital display only

There's plenty of analogue or analogue/digital models that are much more legible than this.
Infact negative display digitals are the worst you could buy for clarity.

Plenty with decent backlight too...

Do you even know what you're talking about?
I think not!

I have several Casios that are almost unreadable.
They had sketetal hands which looked ok in bright light but the hands disappeared at night. There was a lot going on in the background and they merged into it. The backlight came from deep inside the watch on one side and didn't help.
I would post a picture but I gave them away.

This is a particularly bad example

This one is almost unbelievable

You can hardly read this one even in strong sunlight!

This is my watch and you see even in bright sunlight it's possible to get the hands, although they're solid confused with the background and the backlight illuminates just the '6'! This was a gift. I wouldn't have bought it.
