Had this watch for quite a while now. Used for work and has taken plenty of abuse already. Happy with it. Not voting either way though, got mine for £58 with plus an extra 5% off from watch shop about a year ago.
Casio make great watches that last forever.

If you want something cheaper though and more 'throwaway', have a look on Gearbest - they have tons of mens watches that will do a job, even ones with the dial in the wrong place....

You can get Casio-style retro watches on ebay for £1 odd in Silver or Gold...I was tempted but apparently they don't keep good time, so better off having a bare wrist!

ebay.co.uk/382…564

(don't know why the new site mangles links all the time and deletes the http ... but it's ebay item 382099062564)..just as an example.

They have tinny, fragile bracelets as well, but you would kinda expect that for the price paid.

Any cheaper ones with temperature
Not a brilliant price, in fact I thought it was standard, although decent watch, but has no extra features like solar, radio controlled etc. I have the non-negative display version that I got from a deal on here for £17 about 2 years ago now. Still wearing daily although I swapped out the canvas type strap for a standard rubber one.
G-shock are incredibly tough, I have a silver one I must have had for over a decade and now only wear when I'm doing grotty jobs. It's battered and bashed and still tells good time. I doubt it will ever die.

You mean with a thermometer?

No, that will cost you more, for a useless addition to your watch. You need to remove from your wrist for 20 minutes before getting a decent gauge, even then it won't be 100% accurate.

Spend a bit more and get useful features like Solar & Waveceptor.
Bought this two inch wopper 20 months ago on Amazon for £10.49 still has the same battery stainless steel and thought a bit heavy, don't even notice now...

I bought this watch via Amazon a few years ago, but I am pretty sure its was £55 (check the average price via Camelcamelcamel).
It's a very good basic G shock watch. Minor gripes are adjusting the analog hands is painfully slow as they only go forwards so when the clocks go back is a painful change. It would be nice to show digital time and date at once as the other screens are a waste of time. World time function is now easy to alter compared to other models.
Pluses it's comfortable, keeps good time and is rugged. Overall I recommend the watch, if you can get it for a competitive price.
Do you mean the crown in the wrong place? It's on the left for left handed people who wear their watch on their right wrist!

I have a Casio Titanium Sea Pathfinder watch that I managed to get on Ebay, just over a decade ago, brand new for £50, and that has a thermometer. I recall I used it at least once to see how cold it was when I woke up camping. So it's not a totally a completely useless function It's actually a pretty cool watch, but absolutely huge and I haven't worn it in years. I must get new batteries and wear it again sometime.

My silver one is like that and I hate it when the clocks change, especially as you can only go one way, and the buttons tend to crud up with sweat and dirt and so are hard to push. I do have another G-shock that has radio control and of course that's no problem at all. The small displays are quite hard to read on both, for older eyes, and I expect this one is the same.

Yeah, I still can't believe the price and that I managed to get Inge before settling out. Initially was also postage added on by Argos's eBay store, then saw it relisted soon after with free postage (or collect at Argos) although there was none in stock, so I contacted them through eBay and got nth postage refunded too! I know it's not as good as some who got the tv or oven misprices honoured, but it's the best deal I have ever got!
