Great deal, almost double the cost on Amazon, have just ordered one form the Ilford store, cheers

Great watch and price, thanks.

Great watch. I've had mine for 18 months and it works well. The update feature is very good - it updates every night at around 2am and so the time is always spot on. I paid £29 for it when Argos previously discounted it.

I have a Casio wave ceptor watch it has been excellent. Mine is solar powered too so never needs a battery replaced. Very good build qulaity highly recommend one

Picking mine up in the morning. Thanks.

Ah blow it. Sounds good by all accounts and need a watch for knocking around with. Cheers op have shome heatch.

Can't see it on amazon?

amazon.co.uk/Cas…-24

much grass:{

Does this have the solar feature to recharge the battery that is listed in the Amazon review from the link that was posted by paddymcn:

"Good looking watch. Like the solar power feature (no more changing batteries, well not for a long time anyway).
A nice chunky watch and prompt delivery."

Can't seem to see it in the spec?

nice watch, just bagged one pick up tomorrow:3

Likely errant review as this should be stated in the spec on AMZN and Argos. But taint.

Doesn't appear to be a solar panel on the watch in the picture, so I'll have to assume it doesn't have this feature - unless told otherwise?!

Good use of the word 'errant' and I am going to make sure I get it in a conversation this weekend!

Do you think this watch would be ok for a woman to wear?

Great deal - I have a knackered 'R.C. Traveller' global radio controlled watch which needed replacing. Thanks OP!

Depends how "cool" you are

Thanks OP! Reserved!

Great find, thank you op.

Reserved one in my local Argos.

I'm going back to China in a month or so, wonder if the signal will still reach from Japan.

Just ordered the last one in Wrexham!

Cheers & heat added

I bet the strap won't last long - these resin ones never do. I'd buy it if it had a leather or metal strap.

Reserved one. Wonder if it will update in Australia, doubt it but will test next month.

My wave ceptor is analog , looks better imho . Got a stainless steel strap too .
As far as I know gives perfect time .

Price?

Thanks, perfect timing for me (no pun intended!) as needed a cheapo watch for work and this fits the bill perfectly

got mine today, and its large, so if you have a small wrist it might look silly.

Got mine today too - very nice for under 20 quid.

Yeah got mine too but not that confident. Default City was London but came out the box with the wrong time showing ! Strike a light. Also it supposed to try an update was it 7 times a day but if you read how to initiate an update you are supposed to align it to a window and not move it for several minutes...so hows it going to manage if you don't take it off (like me). Also besides having the wrong time initially after a few attempts at syncing (when i was moving it around) the time changed but still to the wrong time. So ultimately I hope it can't actually go and set the wrong time whils updating when the watch is not parked in fron t of a window but on my bloomin wrist.

Why not I say..!
so long as you dont wear it a a wedding

Got one today as a replacement for my son's old Casio wave ceptor. He's very pleased with it. Time was accurate straight away, he just had to choose DST.

Thanks to OP

My previous watch updated in Australia from the Japanese transmitters, but only sporadically.

A previous watch was fine in Hong Kong occasionally, so it might be fine.

I'll be near Beijing so should put it closer.

I've got the less chunky 58U version of this - see amazon.co.uk/Cas…5A/ - and I love the watch to bits. It's not solar powered (I think the solar equivalent is more than twice the price!), has the infamous "will break within 1-2 years" Casio resin strap and, yes, even if you take your watch off, it won't always sync overnight (a lot depends on the direction you put the watch down and whether there's lots of walls in the way of the signal).

I liked the 58U model so much, I've bought 2 of them when Amazon brought the price down to around 20 quid :-) I prefer it to the overly chunky model this offer has (which I believe is the 200U model).

Sounds great....I'm glad I can't get one now, saved me 20 quid!

Was the wrong time wrong by 1 hour? (i.e., showing 12.22 when it was 1:22?) if so, you need to set UTC to 1 (due to british summer time). The manual explains how to do this. My watch updated itself fine last night. It was just on the bedside table, not pointing at the window in particular...
