£89?? Looks like it's worth £15 tops

i still have no idea why this watch has bluetooth! No description or …i still have no idea why this watch has bluetooth! No description or anything on the website about this watch.

Atomic sync has been a staple feature with many G-Shocks. Various countries broadcast a radio signal which contains very accurate time info - at night the watch tunes into this signal and updates its internal timekeeping. So it is always spot-on.

There is a little bit of uncertainty about the future of these radio broadcasts (in USA). So to future proof these line of watches, Casio has in the last few years been rolling out new movements which contain a fallback Bluetooth time sync. If the radio signal is not available, the watch can perform time-sync via your phone.

That's it really. There's a few minor features in addition but nothing game-changing. I've never used the bluetooth feature personally, never even so much as paired it. But it's there in case the atomic broadcasts ever get turned off.

What's a combi bracelet? The description says it has a black plastic strap.

Voted hot as it's a lot of G Shock for the money.

It's made of individual links with a metal clasp. Some of the links are composite, the joiner links are metal.

Obviously you dont understand the retro styling of some of the Gshock range. It may look like the older casio watches but they are not the same

Would you like me to look on the Casio website for you?

Here we go: Bluetooth® Smart
The watch is equipped with energy-saving Bluetooth® technology, which offers power-saving data transfer at the push of a button. The watch can connect to a smartphone wirelessly via Bluetooth®, enabling access to a wide range of useful functions.

And then maybe in conjunction with the manual from the same page it’ll tell us

support.casio.com/sto…pdf A search in the manual for Bluetooth has 21 results with most being in the Bluetooth section of what the watch uses it for.
so you can basically control the watch on your phone.

I was hoping it was a useful smart watch but rather its not very useful at all then.

My £15 Casio keeps time perfectly fine, the only time it needs adjusted is for BST or when i'm on holiday.

If you want your wrist to vibrate every time someone wants to let you know they're taking a dump this is not the watch for you.
If you want a watch that's more accurate and robust than virtually any other timepiece then this is perfect.

Because it still works without a phone and 100% accurate via MB6.
Great deal this; combi, bluetooth, tough solar and multiband 6 for £89, what's not to like!

It looks cheap. How does this make me clueless?

Because you're comparing a Bluetooth, Solar & MB6 watch to a cheap F91 which is worth less than £15.

If you think it looks cheap then that's your opinion not shared by me.

Connecting to the app does let you do a few neat things, my favourite is that it allows you to switch to European date format (dd.mm).

You can switch to that without the app..
