Description

Embrace the latest smart technology with this Casio watch.

The new GBA-800 uses its built-in accelerometer to measure daily steps taken and walking/running pace, displaying the steps taken on the watch. Using Bluetooth®, the watch pairs with a smartphone and sends data to the G-SHOCK Connected app, allowing users to track and view the daily steps they take and the calories they burn.

The number of steps measured by the watch is displayed by the G-SHOCK Connected app in a graph that breaks down the steps taken in each of five metabolic equivalent (MET) levels, based on the step count and walking/running pace data and using the new algorithm which Casio developed. When the user brings along a smartphone while engaging in an activity, the G-SHOCK Connected app graphically displays the steps taken and calories burned on a map, so the user can track the steps taken and the location, time of day, and MET level. The user can also create timed workouts for interval training, providing a whole new way for men to use G-SHOCK for health tracking and fitness.

  • The watch also embeds a number of functionalities and features as shown below:
Lists recorded stopwatch data and sets the target time.Automatically corrects the home and world time including adjusting for daylight savings, four times per day.Easily set the dual time display choosing among some 300 cities in the world from the G-SHOCK Connected app.Phone Finder function enables a smartphone alarm to be activated by pressing a watch button.Easily set time, including alarms, adjusting hand positions, time switching, and more.Step Counter

Just sent this watch back to watchshop, had a few issue where after 2300 the the whole watch would freeze and I would have to wait until it re sets it's self to the correct time. The App is and doesn't update properly. But apart from that it's a lovely watch and just the correct size.

no solar power is a bit of a deal breaker for me. especially considering this has bluetooth whichs uses extra electricity to run
I'm not a huge G-Shock fan but I do like the look of this one, the white hands look easy to read against a dark background, not cluttered.
Any idea what the battery life is on this especially with bluetooth draining it?

It's a decent price, I wouldn't really recommend it though, I've had mine for a year, the step tracker works fine to start with, but keeps losing connection to my phone unless I do a manual sync - shouldn't really need to do that though.

It's a solid enough watch, but if you want a decent tracker I'd get a dedicated step tracker rather than a hybrid item such as this.

Fantastic watch. Battery will last few years. Step tracker working very good. White hands giving good visibility. Very comfortable to wear. Find my phone will send a signal through bluetooth to mobile and play music even in silent mode by pressing one button.

It is as I mentioned in the post description but I think it is good to use J Lewis where possible, help them a little. Amazon are doing fine and won't miss the odd sale.

I’m a bit dubious over EBay, never know whether it’s a cheap Chinese copy. Unless there’s a reputable seller on there for watches.

I ordered this watch from JL the other day. It’s for work so wanted something that would take a knock or two.

Didn’t consider the solar watch, might send mine back for an exchange!

I've never seen a convincing G-stock replica to be honest.

Generally avoid any foreign sellers on eBay for watches etc and make sure it's being sold in the UK anyway. The solar g-shocks are ace. Still got one that's nearly 10 years old and going strong
Could anyone tell me if this is a good price? ebay.co.uk/itm…427
