You should have read some of the reviews before commenting + voting, surely a wrist watch can't weigh 500grams must be a misprint,
Any way here is a review I just pulled out from the reviews:

"I wanted a slim watch that didn't weigh very much, so I could wear it comfortably all day, while typing at a keyboard. This model is perfect; a mere 18g and 7mm thick. The face itself is 30mm round, and the strap 18mm wide. Even so, it doesn't look too small on my wrist - and I'm 6'4" (By Julian M. Snelling "jools1968")

So it's only 18 grams according to this review, maybe not even a couple of sugar cubes

Heard they're quite tight. Anyone has these?
I have one of these, I love it. Mine is 19cms on the setting 3 holes from the end ( which lets the flap tuck in) It's very light. Bought mine in January from a deal on here, there's another couple of threads on here if you google for them.
Was £6.79

I bought the one in the pic for my 10 year old. These are on the small side and are no good at all for adults imo but perfect for his age range.

No offence, but you have to be very daft to think this watch could possibly weigh anywhere near this! oO

Rubbish, I purchased this watch in Dec 2010, I have quite a large wrist and it is just fine, I wear it everyday, it keeps perfect time and is easy to read, even in the dark.
I also have one of these and at this price are great value.

VERY lightweight too ( nowhere near 500g ) - so light you hardly notice you are wearing it.

I read on a previous post that the strap was liable to break but mine is fine. Just purchased 10 new batteries for 99p delivered from Ebay (a comment when this deal was posted a while ago suggested it was cheaper to buy a new watch than replace the batteries). Ebay item number 230575774204

Perfect for adults.

HOT at this price.

Thank you for posting.

No offence, but you have to be very daft to think everyone is as serious as you are on this site. Who on earth would honestly think a watch would weigh more than an average clock??? Dohhh!!!
cool watch, looks pretty sophisticated, in a minimalistic swatch kinda way. Im scared of wearing it in shower (have done once and it was fine) as its only 30m water resistant. When I got mine the crown was hard to pull out, but its prob designed that way. I must admit though I feel guilty having a watch that is considered disposable. I mean it costs more to get a battery in it and they probably wouldnt get it to be water proof again (unless you send off to casio or a serious jewllers that has a pressure tester and correct seals, and whos gonna do that?)

If your shower is less than 30m deep I think your watch should be ok. Doh!!!
I get where your comin from, but the rating on a watch isnt actually based on real depth, e.g a watch that says 200m or 30m cant really do those depths. Its all done in the factory in a pressurised water container. I have had 50m watches let water in from light swimming and hand washing. So you have t be careful

If it's rated at 30m and lets water in it'd deffo be going back to the shop.

Purchased one a few months back. Nice simple and very lightweight watch.

Lovely design, great price. If I didn't already have a similar Eurochron I'd buy one. Voting hot.

If it did weigh 500g, I'd buy it for scrap value. (_;)

I bought that the other day! Received yesterday and it's lovely, light, easy to read and it looks quite smart but simple, not too much.
Same goes for this amazon.co.uk/gp/…uct which I got at the same time, it looks retro-classy :P
Thank you, ordered one for work cant wait I like the one with the yellow background too but its £13, hopefully itll go down like this one. Hot.
Have some heat. Cheap watch for work.

It is 30m static pressure, i.e. takes no account of the momentum of moving water hitting it. That's why it's only classed as "splash proof".

Like you said - Doh!!!

You're right according to wikipedia water resistant 30M is 'Suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant. NOT suitable for swimming, snorkeling, water related work and fishing.' - it might not survive your morning shower or a dunk in the washing up bowl.

Still a good deal though.
