Not true - the G Shock watches are amongst the most durable and reliable made. Quality of the cheaper ranges reflects the purchase price.

My kids have these waveceptor watches - they are brilliant when the clocks go forward or back as they do it themselves.

Ordinarily I might agree but I bought my elderly mother a Waveceptor Solar about a year ago so that she did not have to worry about batteries and setting the time and thus far I have been very impressed, so much so that I have just bought one of these for my day-to-day watch. My other watch being a £1,000 Oakley Timebomb :-D

CASIO? CRAP? what are you talking about?????

CASIO watches are brilliant....you can take on them sometimes but as mentioned above, for very cheap watches... even those would do a great job compared to similarly-priced brands

Yeah, I saw that but figured if it's really that bad then I'd just buy another strap. Some people are speculating that it may be plastic to improve time signal reception. It would make kind of sense as many watches below this price bracket do not have plastic in the straps

The only drawback I've had with Casio was with the resin strap! I used to wear them 24/7 so eventually sweat, heat, dust and water got them down....
