Popped into Tesco Gallions Reach today and saw that all of their weight plates had been reduced to the following:

10kg - £8
7.5kg - £6.66
5kg - £5.32
2.5kg - £2.66
1kg - £1.32

Compared to Amazon and Argos for 2 x 10kg plates:

First post, hope this helps someone! I believe this ends 15/6 but I'm not 100%.

Even better, make a profit lifting these.Just get a job as a shelf stacker at Tesco.

Anyone know of a Tesco in Liverpool that sells this gear , i live close to the one on Rose Lane and dont recall seeing any weights in there .

10kg for £8 is pretty damn hot tbh.

Does it? What am I doing wrong then?!

nice one man

If you have wobbly surround sound speaker stands, then a dumbbell weight slid over the shaft (oh er misses) are a excellent and cheap stabilizer. They can even get the WAF approval.

My surrounds speakers weigh 6kg, and I use a 4kg weight, they are rock solid like weebles, they wobble but they don't fall down!

Pretty good, Decathlon does 10kg for £9.99, normal price which is cheap.

This is a good deal! Although I've never noticed weights at my local tesco before!

Humm good deal if you can find them, Shame my local tesco is rubbish for stuff like this.

The dumbell stations in my gym are the busiest sections. I need something I can just jump on for 30 mins a few times a week

Either taking too much gear or letting gym run your life, im my experience its either steriods or seirous deadication to look like that, big and single figure bodyfat.

But it certainly does help having a good body, I mean most guys loook for a girl with a good figure and it works both ways. Hasn;'t done me any harm for sure.

So £8 for 10kg. Say you get a 20kg bar which is about £80, a stand for the weights and a bench for different exercises. Say £150 for that. Once you start doing this regulary you will soon be doing 100kg, meaning 8 10kgs, £64. All in all around nearly £300 for a small range of exercises, or 10 months of gym membership...

Yeah, cold from me. Hardly any saving anyway.

Just ask the people if you can go on inbetween their sets, or find a time when the gym isnt busy.

Those weights wont go onto a 20kg bar, a 20kg bar is 2" diameter, these will be 1 or 1.1" diameter weights.

The correct bar would be around 6-8kg if solid and would be £30-40. 8 x 10kg is £64. Thats roughly £100 total.

Bench with extra vinyl weights would be about £50. Sell the vinyl weights for £20.

So for £130 you have a bar, 95kg and a bench (For more than a year!). Does anyone actually use all the machines in the gym? Weight training uses mainly free weights.

It's not too clear from the picture, but these look like standard plates, not olympic (50mm hole), so they won't be compatible if you have a 'proper' bar

In four months, if you are a male, you should be benching over 95kg at a gym. You also have all the dumbels, space, help from trainers, cardio machines and a hall for dynamic stretching.

Or you could get a bar and some weights, which you will outgrow if you are serious.
