One for the Road Cyclists but this is a legendary bit of kit at an excellent price. I already have the convertible version and will be buying a second one at this price.Cheapest ive spotted it.

i knew this would end up going cold, if you can find the same bit of kit cheaper let me know.

Whats so great about it?

Waterproof, windproof, breathable, top quality, good all year round and worn by the pro-riders

its a joke, people i think are compelled to vote regardless of what knowledge they have on the products, its crazy

heat from me. great price for a quality product, sadly not for me I tend not to buy anything more expensive than £60 these days, as the last quality top I had got torn to shreds when I got knocked off. call me superstitious but I know as soon as I buy something like this some tit will knock me off. :-(

Yep I was 100% sure it would go cold. Unless your a road cyclist you wouldn't appreciate the price of this. I think about it a fair bit that if I got knocked off my bike the cost of replacing the gear never mind me would be mental!

There was a review of jackets in this weeks Cycling Weekly & the Gabba2 scored 10/10

rodman thats the short sleeve version, thats why its cheaper

Having recently started road cycling i don't see why £100 for one top is reasonable despite the pros wearing it.

For me i have been wearing a warm weather skins top (£15 Amazon) to wick the sweat away along with a generic cold weather long sleeve top to keep most of the wind off (£6 Asda) and if really cold/windy/raining then a lightweight football training jacket (old one lying around). That set up has kept me more than warm enough over the winter and by simply ditching the jacket and long sleeve top it will do me for the the rest of the year as well.

Or is this another way of keeping the weight down? Which for most cyclists is a pointless exercise anyway.

If your happy with what you ride in thats really all that matters, the main thing is to get out and ride. Yes i appreciate this is a premium garment (there are far more expensive than this, have a look at Rapha etc). I think its worth the money but thats me, and i like castelli clothing anyway

hot from me, great bit of kit, heat from me

Castelli always gets the head turns, lol

Some good discounts on hargroves the thermo headbands at £7.69 are a good price, keep the ears and forehead warm in winter and sweat off your face in summer, may not be ideal for the bald specias of mammal

Heat by the way..

Great price, thanks. I've ordered one. My current Castelli jacket is great, this one looks a little lighter and more water resistant.
