Castelli Rosso Corsa Espresso Gloves - SS22
The hands are a key contact point with your bike and one not to be overlooked when it comes to comfort, using high-stretch materials the gloves give a brilliantly snug fit that feels like a second skin and with an easy-open cuff, there's no struggle to put them on or peel them off after a tough ride. With the addition of their new Castelli Damping System, you'll also enjoy protection from road vibration with no sacrifice on grip levels. As cyclists, we can occasionally suffer numbness and discomfort in the hands, simply from prolonged periods of gripping the bars. The Castelli Damping System seeks to address this issue by carefully positioning a combination of cushioning foams and protection in key zones across the palm, providing damping from road vibration and increasing control and comfort.

Features

  • Castelli Damping System (CDS)
  • High-stretch cuff for easy on and off
  • Gel padding and silicone grip add comfort and control
  • Textured mesh with stretch and recovery
  • Weight: 44g

I've been drinking my espresso with a bare hands: should I be wearing special gloves?

Don’t be ridiculous, this is for making espresso not drinking it.

Just bought these in black. Sizes run very small. I normally wear a M or L in GripGrab but I have to wear an XL for Castelli. XS is going to be teenytiny. That said, nice gloves as long as you're not precious about the branding on the palm, it falls off quickly with regular use.

Brilliant shock absorbing gloves. Shame only Xs. Good deal for someone though.

I bought these at full price 🙈 my other Castelli gloves are the comfiest I've ever used and I was expecting good things from these, especially for the price! But I found them really uncomfortable on rides over 3 hours. Could just be me 🤷‍♂️

Great deal got saville blue xl from tredz for 22.99 a few weeks back. So comfortable, I’ve had about 10 pairs of fingerless castelli gloves and these are the best yet.

Got these in L from Merlin a couple of weeks ago. I previously had a pair of XL which I thought fitted well when new but over a couple of years they stretched and became baggy and loose. The L's are indeed a tight fit but there is a lot of stretch in them and I fully expect them to slacken up after a few rides.
Not sure who would fit a XS though
Also note - the white rubberised logo on the palm will rub off pretty quickly which sort of spoils the look a bit

Does anyone else find that the Merlin site is covered in Japanese text- that is, most of the menus and site information are in Japanese? I see this in both Firefox and Chrome on my Windows PC, and it's always been that way. Weird!

Be aware for size XS the wrist cuff is very small and elastic at the wrist is very restricting. They were too tight for my wife even though she has tiny hands (16cm circumference at the kunckles).

I bought some from Aldi for a 5er and they are fine. These seem expensive!
