sorted byWhat I usually do is wait until the Tesco or Asda own brand fully synthetic engine oil is on special offer. That usually means 5 litres for under £20.
These oils usually comply with the specifications API SN/CF, ACEA A3/B3, VW 502 00/ 505 00 etc and therefore exceed the requirements in my vehicle handbook.
I've been doing the same for 25 years and have never had any engine or turbo problem related to lubrication.
