It's B4 , good for diesel unless you have a DPF (particulate filter). then you must use low SAPS special oil. Euro 5 and some Euro 4 cars have DPFs
Awesome price, especially if you drive a Ford (approved)...
very hot - if still in stock

Castrol car oil checker
Very hot just paid £23.99 last week from Euro car parts via Amazon. Will get this if it is in Leicester, been using it in bmw mini one diesel for last 5 services. Never seen it this cheap before
Good price but most people will need to buy two as 4 litres won't be enough for a modern car.
voted hot but saw this in Asda for £10 last week

Good post Op!

Mine uses the Castrol Edge, they've reduced the price of the 1L to £5.99, but don't appear to do the 4 litre?

The viscosity isn't the thing you need to be looking at, that's only really relevant to the temperature ranges you're driving in (colder = lower weight and hotter climates require a higher weight), the important figures are the approval rating, your handbook will tell you what standard your oil needs to meet. For example my Leon need VW505.01 because it has a DPF, if it didn't it'd be 505.00 and if they offered a long life service schedule for it it'd be 507.01. I can get 5w30 fully synthetic quite cheaply from my local factor and that's what my car runs *but* by using an oil that's not specifically certified for the PD diesel engine i'd expect DPF issues sooner rather than later and more importantly premature CAM wear which is going to get expensive.

I'm not sure it is - it's A1/B1 and A5/B5 so a little thinner than an A3/B4 oil. OK for both petrol and diesel (with and without DPF) Ford's but I'd be a bit wary about putting it in an engine desgined to operate on a higher viscosity oil or, as you say, a car from any other manufacturer fitted with a DPF

I wonder which one it is, the 1L bottle says B4, castrol seem to do both,

So for whatever reason this item is not adding on to the (online) shopping basket!
Tried another item unrelated. That adds to the basket fine. Must be out of stock. Will try ordering from instore.
Now back in stock on line. Just ordered some for store pick up. Excellent price!!!X)
