No and dont believe any chemical that says it will. Additives at the very most will slightly boost the octane number of your fuel, reducing pre-ignition and making the engine run more smoothly. A nice oil change can always be noticed but dont kidd yourfself into thinking your car is more powerful. Most chemical additives do little or nothing.
To get more real power (so minor things like airkits out the window) you have 3 routes :
1) Reprograme your ECU (particularly effecitve on turbo cars)
2) Fit a supercharger or turbo (this will most likely knacker every other part of your car in the process)
3) Buy a more powerful car and dont waste your money on 1 - 2.
I recommend 3.
Also pay close attention to the grade of the oil too which is very important, if you car specifies ACEA-C3 do not use ACEA-C1 etc
Had loads in Great Bridge, 5W-30 and also 10W-40
Thanks OP
ahhhhh a green one ay, thats your problem. if you get a full respray in red, replace your windscreen wipers and wash it in goats milk it will be like driving a brand new car again

The seat ibiza is part of the VW group, so can be classed as "Germanic". So who is silly now? Infact, 95% of the internals are shared with the (mkV?) Golf, but why buy a slightly cheaper spanish maque when it will retain signifcantly less of its value than its German counter part and you have to live with drab depressing interior.
VW group is very clearly defined.Seat is the value brand, VW mid market, Audi up market, Lambo/porche =supercars. You have made your choice so enjoy it for what it is.
The reference refers to the differing VW oil spec, 502 and 508. This is 502 approved and should be dandy for the majority of engine fittments in your immatation Golf (still engine dependant). It is not however 508 approved, a requirement for VW groups performance engines e.g Tuned (170bhp not 122bhp) 1.4Tfsi, 2.0Tfsi etc...
I am just trying to help people with this thread but take exception to know-nothing know-it alls trying to shoot me down on the technicalities of their own cars, espcially when they dont have a clue.

You
You utter clown! It was you who said this oil was not for a decent German car. Seat is all Vw parts like your own waffle says. Clown.
BOTH 10w/40 and 5w/30 avaible.
That's the bmw longlife one
Just read OP, I will check my user manual. Hopefully this will be what I need though for this price x

If your driving a decent German or Jap motor this probably wont be for you, everything else though is A-Ok.
I have a Toyota and it recommends 5w/30 for me. Will have a look in Leicester later. Never had it at this price when I have seen posted previously though
Oh there is some class off people on the hot deals, out of date......Its oil for the car your not drinking it.
5w will operate better than 10w at low temperatures as it is thinner i believe.
Viscosity is a measure of the resistance of a fluid which is being deformed by either shear stress or tensile stress. In everyday terms (and for fluids only), viscosity is "thickness" or "internal friction". Thus, water is "thin", having a lower viscosity, while honey is "thick", having a higher viscosity. Put simply, the less viscous the fluid is, the greater its ease of movement (fluidity).
Lower number - how well oil operates at low temperatures
Higher number - how well oil operates at high temperatures
in UK climate 0w30 is probably about perfect, though depends what your manufacturer recommends.
Heat added.
It will get around other parts and coat the sensors, which will stop them working, and give engine management issues.
As far as the oil weight goes, you can stretch the upper and lower limits a little, without harm.
If you need an oil change you'll get a better price all in at National Tyres. £25 including filter and up to 8 litres of this stuff.
Yes - in fact its recommended by Ford.
