Just buy car oil

Just buy car oil

... and put it in a car.
Cars have dry clutches, bikes (apart from Ducatis) have wet clutches - putting car oil, which contains friction modifiers, in a bike can lead to clutch slip.

Go to the last paragraph CONCLUSIONS if you don't want to read the whole Page but it specifically singles out mobil and castrol bike oils as being different formulas to car oil!
So you pays your money and takes your choice I guess. For me though, things like oil should not be scrimped on.

Absolutely, that's exactly what THEY said in my link so play fair! But they also say that there are significant differences between the composition of the oils and the performances they gave.
As I said, some people will cut corners and buy the cheapest no mark oil, brakes, filters they can find but it's a false economy IMO. You carry on shoving poundland stuff in your motor if you want but I would rather pay for the correct stuff and a bit of quality in this instance. Each to their own as I said

I could put just sand in it and it would still run sweet as a nut.

Lol. You'll observe I never made any of the claims which that article debunks, nor are any of its test relevant to the claim I made. Is that the best you can do? Try researching the JASO-MA and JASO-MB standards, and the difference between them, perhaps.

Treat it at least once a year to something nice please! A bit like you having your nip of baileys at Christmas!
