Great deal, however any links for a reasonable cat6 20m would be appreciated?

Thanks, I went for the ten metre one for my sons new Xbox.

Wish tis was a flat one for running 'neath the carpet

Good price, even beats Scan where I usually get my cables from with free store pick up.

@coalfield - Scan do 20m of CAT6 for £6.72 if you can get free delivery, AV forums?

Any experience of this seller over any of the others that were within a few pence of each other? This one has less feedback that the others on Amazon.

£2.59 free delivery on fleabay

Why would you need Cat6 for a 20m cable? (just curious).
Good price - will buy a bunch of these for work, always handy, thanks OP.

perfect timing on the deal. but can anyone tell me why this is only 10/100 and not gigabit? i thought cat5e was able to provide gigabit transfer over distances less than 100m?

shame i brought 2 the other day .! nice price . heat added

Cheers ordered one.

Ordered, hopefully this 1 will work
I have previously bought 1 from an EBay seller a few years back which ended up being as much use as a piece of rope, still worth the chance at this price

used in the right application it can. it is probably not advertised as such because they don't want the hassle of explaining to people that their 'free' adsl routers do not support 1000base-t.

Does anyone know if they do a 50 metre version?? I cant seem to find one!

Cat5e isn't certified for gigabit speeds although it is capable of reaching speeds upto a gigabit, so it can't be advertised as such. If you want a true certified gigabit cable you need cat6.

Loads on ebay for under £8. I've bought a number of different cables on ebay, including two ethernet cables, and had no problems.

The 802.3ab standard would disagree with you on this.

so can I use this to go from my modem router to connect to my sony bluray player to update the software etc and then disconnect.

Also to plug into my sony tv to update that software and watch internet tv??

sees too good to be true!

EDIT" dont worry...for this price I have just ordered anyway!

Hmm..even I dont think we will get anything in the Semis....other than a huge beating

Mine has been posted now.

3 days and its here excellent delivery time.

Got mine yesterday and run from router in computer room up into the loft and then across to back bedroom.

Perfect - cheaper than the devices that run through the mains cables for an hours work

It possibly only has 2 pairs of wires, whereas gigabit requires 4 pairs.

Brill thanks very much!!!
